The Ryan Smyth who plays his heart out and is extremely gritty? Smyth's style of play happens to be extremely effective in the playoffs. Refresh my memory, how effective has Datsyuk's been?

I was a rumor hound for a while. The only rumors worth looking at are Spector's. He's the only guy on the internet that actually cites his sources. Other guys' rumors are usually crap. Spector also gives a good analysis on the rumors he reports.

I cant find the article in the Boston Herald itself, but on CBS Sportsline it says this: I dont see this deal going down. The Shark's top six is extremely potent as is, consisting of Bell-Thornton-Cheechoo and Michalek-Marleau-Bernier. The Bruins also have Toivonen who will be a great goalie soon so I dont understand the logic behind them taking on Nabokov's $5 million for what, 3 years? Sportsline goes on to speculate that if this deal were to go down a third team would be involved.

If they're planning on having a firesale like Spector predicts, theyre not looking for players now. We'd need to dump initial salary, and give them decent prospects in return. Lang, Datsyuk, Grigorenko, Hudler, and Liv could all be trade candidates. Maybe we could get Nagy and Doan from them. Doan is making 3.3 million this season by the way.

Hudler and Maltby wouldnt free up enough salary to take on Doan's contract. If the trade were to go down, surely Lang or Datsyuk would be headed the other way. It's really the efficient way to clear salary because we need as many capable wings as possible. Need to clear cap space to get Doan.

Wow, I'd love to land Doan. Send them Grigorenko as the centerpiece if theyre looking for prospects.

Yeah, but if a teams getting completely ripped off by trading a franchise center like Marleau (who's signed through 07-08) and other players for two guys who might not be on their team next season (yes, Datsyuk is unrestricted next year), the Sharks wouldnt do it.
