Why would Ottawa ever do this? A scrub d-man and a below average reserve for a young Norris caliber defenseman? No way. Never would Boston do this. Bergeron is the future of their team now that Thornton is gone. Lang is 35. Ha, Boynton is no throw-in. Boston would be trading two of their best young players for a 35 year old center that has yet to prove he is that effective in the new NHL. Again, Florida would never do this. Legace is a good goalie at times but is a career backup as of yet. Luongo is a franchise goalie and is young like the other players mentioned. Maybe if the "future considerations" were Detroit's next 5 first round picks Florida would start to think about it. I mean yeah theyre great trades for Detroit, but would never ever happen.

What numbers make the â„¢?

pop quiz: "do you know what they call a quarter-pounder with cheese in France?"

Yeah youre right, Lidstrom didnt win 3 consecutive Norris trophies and isnt one of the most dominant defenseman offensively and defensively in the entire NHL.
-
Absolutely no way in hell. Not ever. Never. Lidstrom owns McCabe defensively. The only reason McCabe puts up such huge numbers is cause hes their go to guy on the power play, he takes a ton of shots. If Lidstrom had that opportunity, he'd be racking up numbers too. He has good numbers anyway of course, he's on pace for 75 points.

Artest has been on the inactive list since he requested a trade a couple months ago. It was expected. Peja has had a pretty weak season, so the change of scenery should be good for him. As for Artest, he'll probably continue to be a head-case that plays great, when hes playing. The Pacers lost on this deal, but it was better than keeping him on the inactive list until the offseason. At least they got something for him. They are saying Peja will likely void his contract and become a free agent at the end of the season anyway. Besides that aspect of hte deal, Artest is the much better player. He is much more versatile; plays great offesne, great defense. All Peja can do is score. The Pacers wont be going far this season at the season's end will have traded one of the best players in the NBA for nothing.

TSN I'd like to see either one of them on the Wings. Hopefully something will happen. Or how about Simpson or Cullimore?
