Except when Osgood wins, right? Not really,considering his .895 save percentage. And take a look who hes won against. Chicago three times. St. Louis. San Jose. New Jersey. Washington. Pittsburgh. Tampa Bay. Columbus twice. and Dallas.

But look at the goalies hes played behind. Osgood twice for two disappointing seasons. Hasek for the cup. And CuJo for 2 disappointing seasons.

When the team plays well and he doesn't and costs us a game. No need in blaming just the goalie if it isn't just his fault. He had a s***ty game. Along with about a dozen other Wings after we chased Turco. ALL of them just gave up thinking the game was won. It's irritating this mob mentality to rip on the goalie when the entire team is to blame for folding like a cheap tent. peace It's just that when Legace's playing he seems to make our weak defense seem sufficient and wins. Osgood doesnt.

For all the Osgood fans: Put the past aside. Put the cups aside. Legace has outperformed Osgood this year. Plain and simple. He is this team's number one.

I just dont understand why its so hard for everyone (here) to see that Osgood just isnt a good goalie. How many leads does he need to blow? How many 6 goal games does he have to have?

Losses that might have been wins with above average goaltending.
