Lucic has a meltdown as Bruins get smacked by Habs...again
frankgrimes replied to Jersey Wing's topic in General
Could have used Thornton and Boychuk for that game. Habs are a bunch of ******* and as always Price has to bail them out. What happened to the big bad Bruins? If you lose against a hatred rival at least do it in style, fight Weise or but everything that moves. Also laser pointers at a hockey game? Just stupid -
a threat for what ? making the playoffs - yeah with Toronto, Ottawa and Philadelphia fighting for the last wildcard. Stanley Cup ? nope also other teams are without their best players also, sure they did well against two very good teams but it's still early Boston in october will not be the same one as in April...Chiarelli has to get this team back in a hurry losing Boychuk, Iginla and Thornton ---> ouch There is a reason, why many experts think that this is the year where the streak ends and as long as the kids are showing their tremendous speed and enthusiasm I couldn't care less about the playoffs, especially in such a great draft.

1 year is that young enough ? http://www.letsgowings.com/forums/topic/74997-wings-sign-stephen-weiss-5-years-245m/?hl=weiss

Don't want him
-
There is already a thread about him here http://www.letsgowings.com/forums/topic/44874-stephen-weiss/?hl=weiss He will play when Babcock thinks he is ready to contribute.

True and I would be very happy, not only is the guy a servicable defender he's also a Michigan boy.
-
'Give them Jurco and a second and be done with it. If Buffalo asks for more well look for another defender.

It's not about honor it's about longterm success, getting ahead of an already better competition. Whoever gets McEichel will have a franchise player for at least a decade and a half.

Will be a sad sad day, wish I would have had the opportunity to visit the place. Hopefully the new arena will have such a historical name too instead of some sponsored crap.
-
Well looking at the Oilers their biggest problem save for coaching seems to be the defense, so I doubt they'll trade him.
-
I hope it's huge for you and your city and I'm sure seeing the hardest shot competition in person will be great. Maybe Chara breaks his own record again or Weber can finally top him...

Nbc is just... And just for the record I think Boston lost a lot this off season, but they aren't in a treading water situation, thanks to their goaltending and Chara. -

But we won't be trading him for much needed defensive help... Because of potential... -

For a team fighting to tread water every point is important so that means points in October are equally important as those in April. The Bruins can afford to take it slowly because they are still good enough to go on huge point streaks. -

I doubt some of the suits even know what an enforcer is. They are too busy looking at their tablets, smartphones Good god why did that stupid league stop Iginla and Phaneuf from fighting? This isn't a pussysoft diver showboaters game like soccer ******* nhl -

The last part is a huge problem in a lot of areas. If corporates are buying seats they can either use them or make the seats available to the public -

Yup but still it's embarrassing for original 6 teams. As is that stupid rivalry theme because these two teams don't have a rivalry -

Good god the empty seats and no crowd noise is embarrassing. Bergeron is one heck of a player probably the best two way forward in the game right now. -
more NHL wisdom: Chris Pronger may work for Dept of Player Safety
frankgrimes replied to haroldsnepsts's topic in General
I listened to his TSN interview (took me only 8 clicks to get there...) some interesting things: - he will be in NY once a month because they have some sort of torontian like warroom there - Quintal can ask him for his advice but doesn't have too - Pronger's eye and head are still not where they need to be (that's really sad) - guy wants to learn more about the backend of the game - thinks its a way for him to still stay involved - is impressed and scared (like me) by how fast the game has become -

frankgrimes replied to trule23's topic in General
Yeah I mean it's by far the second best league in NA but being a good AHL coach doesn't automatically translate to being a good NHL coach too. Personally I really like Blashill but I would for sure expect some growing pains, system tinkering and a bunch of other expected problems once someones makes the jump from AHL to nhl headcoach. Funny thing is I liked Eakins a lot as a Marlies coach, come off very friendly and always thought of him as some type of a players coach but boy then his nhl debut...and the first thing he did is wiping out pictures from Gretzky, Messier ...I mean how hard is it really ? If your players can't play your system change it to something they can play, instead of acting like a cocky spoiled little brat. -

Back to back games against original 6 opponents, should be a huge test. I expect a much better Bruins team than the week before, they're going to come out pissed Wings better be ready.
