I want hits, fighting just good oldschool hockey but I also want a team that sticks up for each other and some on ice police. Last season Pasha has been out with a concussion, this (early) pre-season with a seperated shoulder. Is it really that hard to understand that I want someone to keep the other team honest ? Heck it doesn't even need to be a fight you check our star/young/small players hard we are going to do the same to you and here comes the problem...after Kronwall deleted Kronwalled from his dictionary the Wings aren't even doing that and it pisses me off. Scuderi is a big kid he can take a hard hit I admit he is very good at hitting hard and clean but that shouldn't exclude him from getting hit in the same manner too.

Some people don't get it and will never get it. Maybe once Pasha, Z and Danny are out for a longer period of time, some wwill finally understand easy point but I doubt it so whatever. Like I've said do that against Kessel and the story ends with Scuderi leaving the ice very soon... but now Pasha - our best player by far - is out for at least a month and Scuderi is still fine.

People don't want to come here because the team is aging and not seen as a true cup contender in the eyes of some top players. This is the point where every team has to overpay to get the top players to sign simple as that.

It has nothing to do with the relative strength of the league but a lot with development, the development of hockey players in Sweden is top notch (including facilities) and I don't think Russia can compare in that regard. As for your bubble comment that's exactly what will happen at some point in time and save for some bigger clubs I don't think all will survive when that happens. btw. I also don't think this CHL experiment will last long. as for Selanne: his hockey school should do wonders for finnish talent.

Judging by Selanne and his comments that's exactly what he wanted. I don't know I think Boudreau could be a very difficult coach to work for kind of a Carlyle type. All the experience in the world but bad at handling players...

The khl has a big problem, the skill may be there but the owners - Medvedev controls everything - come off a bit scary. I know I wouldn't want to be the guy that scores the game winning goal while some of the more powerful owners are watching. Also there are stories of players not getting paid all of a sudden and the biggest problem.. It's a plastic league just like the CHL in Europe so the khl will never be able to create a culture because there are too many different teams from different countries. Maybe it's because I despise the idea behind their league but I honestly believe that the SEL is close and in some ways better now structured don't forget the much higher quality of life. But I get what you are saying it's definitely a threat for the top leagues in Europe

Yeah I think the Swedish Elite League is the second best league in the world. The amount of talent Sweden produces is just flatout amazing.

Nor do I but it's a good example that these guys do indeed have some skills other than fighting. I mean it's still NHL or almost NHL ready competition.

KHL is at best the third best league in the world so no comparison. The Stanley Cup is the hardest trophy to win in all of sports yes but winning Gold at the Olympics back on back on different conditions is impressive. Yeah Babcock only has one Stanley Cup but he at least had this team in the WCF (Ducks had two hall of famers on their blue line...), SCF (Pens were better...) something Boudreaus has never accomplished. I think Boudreaus systems are build for the regular season but for whatever reason aren't working when other teams are playing tight defense and up their physicality. He is also known to create unneccessary goalie drama before the start of playoffs.

decided to really push it the last week and went to the gym each day and added 3 times muay-thai training was a real fun experience but I know I respect the guys that train 2 - 3x every day even more. Changted my supplements again added a good amount of muscle according to my coach and got body fat down to 7 %

That's because he messes with goaltenders and plays favorites, guy is also a whiner pretty overrated coach.

I wish him the best too but I think he will play very very hard when the Wings come to town, because he knows no one the Wings is going to fight him or else... I think he will fit in fine with the Devils taking on the lesser guys while Jensen gets the heavyweights.

Ovechkin is the epitome of the lazy, one dimensional Russian of this generation. He is waiting for the puck on the powerplay and unloads his crazy one-timer. The Captain wore the Wings logo deep in his heart, the return to glory started with him, Stevie even changed his whole game just to help out the team. The guy basically played some playoff series on one leg and NEVER complained. Making him captain has been a real mistake, he isn't a leader and never will be he is a very good goalscorer but really has no other ability. Ovechkin is what he is and he will never change the words Yzerman and Ovechkin in the same sentence are just *LOL* I hate to say it but the only guy who is close to become a lighter Yzerman is captain serious Jonathan Toews also at least to me the best pure goalscorer and TEAM guy is Stammer, he never complains is already elite and keeps working his butt off to be in even better shape each year, something that can't be said about Ovechkin. btw. the sad thing is if more Russians were like Pasha and less like like Ovechkin, Kovalchuck there wouldn't even be a russian factor in the NHL and some of them could MAYBE turn into useful two way players.
