That's common misconception about eurpean style support: Supporters = they are going to the game to support their team loud and with all the other stuff Hooligan = the onces going to the game in order to search/find fights they couldn't care less about the team home fans or away fans. So if you can keep those type of "fans" out all will be fine

Don't know anything about this guy but you can never go wrong with a PTO and be it just to push the other guys

Jake Gardiner ? 5 years 20,2 million Justin Schultz ? 3,675 million for 1 year and I think Danny is at least on par with both of these guys, both were RFAs. Fact is no matter how people are going to slice the deal it was a bad one and will hurt the team going forward but it's not something that one of the new core players should have to suffer from. Players are for sure looking around the league/own team and compare themselves to other player so yeah Danny for sure is in the 4 million + range as a defender, also a Michigan boy he is important for the team identification too so even in a loyality standpoint he has some value. But whatever I just hope it gets done and he doesn't miss training camp

The most important re-signing this offseason (save for the UFA disaster) should have been long done but thanks to some ridiculous overpaying it's now dragging on and on with training camp almost around the corner. What a great job... Danny may not have much options now but he sure as hell will have once his RFA days are behind him and him and his agent will remember the RFA negotiations so Holland better not blow this. Would make this off-season perfect the only highlights are the re-signing of Tatar and the return of the Monster. Give Danny 4,5 for 5 years and be done with it.

Agreed this was a really great mask and so far his best one by far. Can't wait to the masks of the other goalies, especially Hiller I absolutely love the Nordic mythology so a Thor our Odin themed one would be absolutely fantastic.

Yeah at some point it's going to happen and I really hope a very good top 5 pick will be available by then. I didn't like the Jarnkrok deal at first soon after a while I've hated it and still do. Also it looks like he won't be going back to play for Frolunda. Holland really blew that trade if you trade him package the guy for a defensemen : -( Treading water can be dangerous as shown by Vancouver, Calgary and the late millennium Oilers (Questions about Sather started at that time although he was a god before he just ran out of ideas). If this team would have still been in the west they wouldn't even sniff at the playoffs, so I guess Holland should be thankful for the weaker east.

No worries and to be honest I'm a bit shocked that the Oilers haven't turned it around but that Yakupov pick was a huge mistake. This is the first of season where they've tried to fix the defense and I expect them to finish a lot better but still out of the playoffs. My point was if a team has to be bad this would be the year to do it because McDavid and Eichel are the best draft picks since Crosby. I mean they are so good the nhl had to change the odds in order to prevent teams from tanking.

Yeah I've read that too even with your mediocre seasons - don't worry ours weren't much better - your attendance went up and I think your team has done a tremendous job given all the difficult circumstances. The amount of defensive talent that Nashville seems to produce is really top notch. But I still think Laviolette has been the wrong choice, his run and gun firing on all cylinders wears thin quickly. The potential Seattle owners (Paul Allen ? ) have been on record saying that they want a NBA team first and then they are going to look at a NHL team we've had this story before and everyone saw how it turned out i.e The Thrashers. But knowing the allmighty BOG Seattle will get a team so that's that. Las Vegas would also be very dangerous for players, referees all it takes is one serious phone call from a casino boss with connections to the mozarella side of things and the game will be decided in no time and there is nothing the NHL can do about it. It's really unbelievable how a league can talk about expansion instead of relocation although there are already two teams which will be relocated in the not so distant future. Another team to keep a really close look on would be the Ottawa Senators their owner went from billionaire to "only" millionaire and is cutting the budget back every year and yet we hear expansion talk. What the NHL needs would be the exact opposite put teams into markets where hockey can and has succeeded (i.e QC, Hamilton) I still can't believe why tzhe BOG is always listening to Bettman's lies and his stupid grow the game crap. The game doesn't need to grow it just needs stable markets and a great on ice product (which has been watered down since 2005 ).

A league that is already too big, has struggling franchises want's to expand instead of relocate ... just amazing The only thing Las Vegas can provide is gambling 24/7.

They will be honored in some way - I'm very sure of that - but the bar for the Red Wings is incredible high (some may argue too high). Nothing against both of them but all 7 retired numbers have been even more than outstanding.

Players are looking at longterm commitments so knowing a potential superstar (McDavid, Eichel) will be on the roster soon isn't going to hurt. Sure there are lots of other factors too but NHL players and their agents aren't dumb they can see the big picture.
