2014 SCF : (2) The Big Apple vs. (3) Hollywood
frankgrimes replied to Hockeytown0001's topic in General
Well the Kings have had problems with closing out the series in all of their last 3 games, so let's hope for at least 5 games. But man they are just like an unstoppable machine -
Don't want Brodeur let him retire as a devil. Same with Alfie guy should sign a one day contract and retire ass Senstor

Report: NHL to have 5 outdoor games in 2014-15.

Winterclassic is the real deal, although the NHL managed to even destroy that. Thanks to the Leafs and Redwings plus the big house it wa awesome this year but nothing will come close to that so I don't care about the WC next year. Having it every year is too much The stadium series is just a rip off to push a certain idea in a non hockey climate... -
Dan Boyle's rights traded to the Islanders…..

The Yotes could do so much better than that for Yandle. You can bet they are going to at least ask for Nyquist - a first + some B level prospect (Jurco..) Yandle is a fantastic player and trust me team USA would have been much better with him in the lineup. -

As someone who wouldn't be pissed if either one wins I think that non interference call has been absolutely brutal, Rangers got robbed here. You can not crush the goalie like that. -
Take Mario Lemieux, Steve Yzerman or some of the other former greats they are now business men AND also know/played the sport I think having someone like them as comissioner would be great. How cool would it be if Gretzky were the commissioner in hockey, Jordan in the NBA or Jose Kensacco MLB ? These are guys owners and players alongside respect. Also since 2005 hockey hasn't been as entertaining as before, that's a fact. I personally give nothing about all the money figures because i don't care as long as Detroit i- and it will as long as the best owner in all of sports is at the helm - s doing well all is fine.
-
Relocate the struggling teams and expand into proven markets not exactly rocket science maybe thats why the NHL doesn't see the obvious. I still think every commissioner should be required to at least have some knowledge or atheltic skills in order to represent the sport.

ANd leave a huge load of money on the table? No sane coach, gm is stupid enough to do something like that

Wow Pittsburgh that was incredible classless and also LOL at going from Shero to Rutherford a guy who hasn't done anything for the Hurricanes by not having a bad roster on paper. Also they should have fired Bylsma the day Shero was fired so he would have been able to look at other offeers, what a joke that organization has become *lol*

I hate that term yes, it's a business but hockey is also a sport loved and done by humans not robots! Boyle gave the Sharks a lot so they owe him a trade to a team where he might want to sign. Humans >>> Business! I hope he signs so Holland won't do something crazy -
Thanks for the summary personally I'm already accepting the fact that this will be Babcocks last year and I don't blame him. This team went from the defacto class of the NHL to still contender, to behind the top pack to playoff contender..that's just not good enough for a proven winner like Babcock. He know hother teams ae going to pay him whatever he wants and he could coach some superstars in their prime sucks for us but this could be the road for him. I STILL do not believe Holland will go into the next season with the current defense there is no ******* way,

Wow that Kings team is the definition of clutch and pesky they just won't ever quit. Huge kudos to Williams what a playoff beast unreal. *lol* @ chanting Lundqvist guy is even better than Quick who - for his standards - has not been impressive against the Hawks. -
Adam Almquist says he’s considering returning to Sweden to avoid AHL
frankgrimes replied to DSM's topic in General
I have nothing against him and I also prefer real scout reports instead of looking at some excel sheets. That being said if the organization doesn't think he has earned a spot yet then it would only be fair to let him entertain other offers. His hometown team is one of the best in the SEL and he could play infront of his family and friends. If I were him I'd try the Gary Roberts school and bulk up as much as possible. Yes smaller players can make it but it's even more difficult for smallish defenders on a team that's already behind in terms of size and physicallity -

As long as he doesn't bulk up and add a few pounds I don't think so we are talking about 10 - 15 lbs at least. -
97-98 Red Wings still the last team to win back-to-back!
frankgrimes replied to Wings4Life19's topic in General
Octopus owns that stupid little indian bandwagoners Hawks fanbase will dry up next year, they will have to decide beteween Kane and Toews *smile* -
I still think they are trying to either keep Botterill or go after Fenton or if the Leafs are stupid enough to fire Nonis after him. Crosbys agent (Brisson) already declined the job smart move.

Too small to become anything at the NHL level too bad because the talent is obviously there. The pick was a gamble some turn out well, others don't sad but it's n ot like the SEL is a bad league in fact they might be number 2 or 3 overall worldwide. -

WCF: (6) California Dreamin' v (5) The Night Chicago Died
frankgrimes replied to Hockeytown0001's topic in General
Just means more to take away from them for the Kings -
If Ritchie isn't available I want Rich, Perlini or someone from the 210 lbs + category. Do you think Draiseitl will drop a few spots because of his average skating? If so Wings should take a chance at him Good god that Nylander kid is cocky stay away from him
-
Gazdic + McQuaid/Engelland I really love that thought well done. Same goes for the addition of Niskanen

I expect a stellar Quick, pissed off Kopitar and Richards plus a very agressive and physical Stoll and as always a superb Doughty. Crush them Kings and crush them hard -
Peter Laviolette Hired as Predators' Coach
frankgrimes replied to PredsFanTheBayouState's topic in General
Best of luck with him, personally I don't think he is the right fit. When you have Josi, Weber, Klein and Johnes coming and Rinne in goal a team should play to their strength and Nashville is known to be a defensive powerhouse. -
I think people are really underestimating what kind of beast McKee will bee. Guy is already a fitness freak just wait till he breaks into the NHL Bordelaux style. Engelland would be nice but I want Gazdic, can play and is willing to drop the gloves against everyone.
