Exactly each goal can be the deciding one, it may come in the first minute it may come in overtime but better not miss any of the action and I absolutely love it. In other sports you can skip a lot because the dynamics are only heating up during the final minutes, hockey is nonstop tension.

The Leafs are a perfect example of a top - down mess: run by two companies who hate each other, than you have: VP - GM - Ass. GM's - Cap magicians I mean going through this whole process must be an absolute mess and it's difficult to make the right decisions with so many cooks in the ktichen. Man Phaneuf doesn't even have a NTC Nmc clause wow he could easily end up with Edmonton

I don't get that reference at all so anyway: Back in the early 90s I did watch the "dream team" known as the Bulls and never ever did I think "oh boy grow Baskettball because there aren't enough white people on that team" I just watched the sport, because I did like some things after the league turned into the thug league I've stopped but I didn't complain on and on to change this or that. That's the great thing with the freedom of choice we all can choose the things we like to watch and ignore the ones we don't like. I honestly believe some people are more concerned about fixing something that's not broken instead of being happy and appreciative of the status quo.

I really like Spezza great player, great center put into an absolute horrible situation (taking over from the best player this franchise ever had) and dealing with an owner who doesn't want to spend in order to improve the team. Anyway, I really hope we are staying away from him the Wigns are more than a Spezza awayfrom competing for the cup and it would for sure cost one of Mantha, Nyquist, Tatar for a guy who will be UFA after this year. Cowen on the other hand yes please :-)

The game is called ICEhockey for a reason, so if you put icehockey into places where you have almost no winters, not a lot of funding AND a non winning enviroment it's a setup for a team to fail. Personally speaking I don't want the game to grow. Less teams would be a good thing for a lot of the Original 6 teams: - less revenue sharing - less competiton for playoffs, stanley cups - more talent for less teams = higher talent pool - players: stars/superstars can finally get their huge paydays without GMs having to worry about the cap This stupid "more scoring, oh no we can't have a white sport, grow the game" and other mantras are really pissing me off. If people want to see double or triple digits = watch NFL, NBA ...if people don't want to watch a white sport watch NBA, NFL, soccer where countries even have to take foreigners into the national teams because the real natives have given up on the sport (as did fans). Constantly tweaking and bitching things about the game will only lead to the following: fans who are happy will give up and it's harder to gain new fans than to keep the old ones. The best analogy would be the Simpsons: look at this great series during the early episodes and compare them to now ? It's almost like two complete different series, they've completely lost their charme because some smartguy thought it would be a good idea to go even more mainstream and change from hand drawn to computer animated episodes and add more "pop references" ...changing for the sake of change is not always the way to go. If the Stars, Jackets, Coyotes and Panthers aren't cutting it then move them to Canada, the league didn't have a problem moving the Jets, Nordiques and other teams from Canada...so fair is fair. Also as a disclaimer: I have absolutely nothing against their fanbases but if not enough people are showing up, what can you do ? Expecting other teams to pay for their failures ? That's just stupid because it would mean teams like the Wings are helping the competition out and the reward would be losinga gainst them ? Sorry, but no. btw. the league can't support 30 teams so going to 32 would not only be overkill but absolutely idiotic. My personall view is, even support 24 - 28 is a hard thing at some point sports become too big for their own good - i.e soccer - hope that doesn't happen to hockey in my lifetime.

Canada should have at least nine and the us around 15 30 is way too much. But with a new York lawyer running the show I've given up on good decisions for the game till he is fired

WCSF : (6) Los Angeles Cartmans vs. (1) Coach Bombay and the Quacks

Gibson > Mrasek it's not even a discussion Gibson just absolutely stole the show in the world juniors and then went on to improve his game. He may not be ready yet but once he is this kid will be the next BIG starpotential goaltender. -
ECSF : (4) Montreal Canadiens vs. (1) Boston Bruins

Lucic is a freaking beast in the playoffs - not that he isn't in the regular season - but he really turns into an animal come playoffs wow. Hopefully Iggy finally gets his cup. -
What has Renney ever done for our PP ? It seems like it gets worse every year, he is a serious step back from McLellan sad but true. Yeah it may be Babcocks last year but that's already old stuff. Seems like the media is hunting for some articles. If he leaves I hope he ends up with a contender and can win another cup soon, best coach in hockey by far.

ECSF : (5) New York Rangers vs. (2) Pittsburgh Penguins

Seriously comparing the King to Howard ? Quick, Rinne, Rask and the King are in a league of their own, then come guys like Price, Miller and between but Howard definately is not one of the top 10 goalies in the league. He is good and can be outstanding, but he lacks consistency. The King is basically bailing the Rangers out every damn year, they wouldn't even make the playoffs without him. -
Wings have the #1 & #2 most overpaid players (per point) in the NH
frankgrimes replied to sleepwalker's topic in General
Well not much to add it is true, Weiss - despite the injury problems - has had what 3 goals for a 5 million capht, only Leino with zero goals could make a case to challenge him for the title. but the list itself is ok -
This stupid Damien Cox article made them really believe they might get Babcock what the hell is wrong with them ? They are only getting Babcock, if we get Kessel, Phaneuf and Gardiner for Drew Miller and Johan Franzen. Anyway, the players have to share the blame here too. The Leafs have an ownership problem, Rogers and Bell HATE each other I can't believe the court allowed them to co own such a storied franchise, that's unbelievable.

I love the overreaction from leafs nation signing an extension doesn't mean that a coach cannot be fired. For sure Nonis will include some buyout clauses in this. Although I'm wondering what Carlyle has done after winning the cup with two HHOF defenders, really nor much..

Eat that french fries two more for the Bruins to go, nice We might be seeing the exact same teams as last year lol -
Be worried OV be very worried Trotz won't accept selfish crap I think if someone can teach the caps how to play defense its gotta be him But man that roster needs some huge changes
-
Finally so well deserved, coaching this roster into the playoffs is just amazing. Roy might win it but at least Babs get some much overdue recognition

Peter Laviolette Hired as Predators' Coach
frankgrimes replied to PredsFanTheBayouState's topic in General
Wow talk about a 180 turnaround, Laviolette is the exact opposite of Trotz system. Nothing against your Preds but I don't think they have the personal to play his style also really bad for Rinne's stats. -
Holland Holding on to Jeff Blashill
frankgrimes replied to Behind Enemy Lines in CO's topic in General
Why would Babcock go there ? No privacy, immense pressure and an out of this world microscope everywhere no, if Babs is going to leave Detroit it will be for a contender. Can you imagine a Babcock coached Kingsteam ? wowza -

frankgrimes replied to Hockeytown0001's topic in General
Well to be fair the Ducks really aren't that bad of a team it's a combination of superior competiton and playoff coaching by Boudreau. The guy doesn't have his regular season coach label from nowhere. Kings - Bruins that would be a final for the ages hopefully it happens. -
For whatever reason Tapatalk didn*'t post the whole thing, anyway: Lately is has become much better sure, Mantha looks like he has the size and skill to become a possible top 6 guy. With all the experts, scouts expecting this to be a very meh draft there might hope for another big bodied surprise.
-
U O When you have guys like prime Lids, Pasha and Z that's a different story but I'm not expecting any of them to become such a great player. If Tatar and Nyquist turn out as solid 20 - 25 goalscorers annually I'd be very happy. Anyway it's true the Wings are drafting too many small euros and not enough Michigan boys.

The Ducks aren't a bad team and yet they have no chance, be worried Hawks be very worried When Quick is on he is like supermanmode can't beat this guy You are next if the Kings win -

Rangers just aren't built for playoff hockey and lack depth As great as King and McDonagh are, Stepan has no winger and Nash so far has been a huge disappointment. Game 4 sadly is now a highly recommended win for them. -
