Dmac is a f***in boss one of my alltime favourite enforcers. Sent from my BlackBerry

Yakupov just doesn't want to work hard. After seeing the videos back when the Oilers drafted him I thought man kid tune it down in the NHL. If I were a young kid playing in the NHL I'd be as humble as it gets and trying to do whatever my coach wants me to. I love the way Pasha and Kessel are celebrating thats the way to do it Sent from my BlackBerry

Does ist even matter? The guy is not available and even if he were he wouldn't fit with the lowkey professional approach this organization is known for. If Z and D are as humble as it gets others shouldn't even dare to be cocky and arrogant. A former alltime top 5 defenseman wasn't cocky so no I don't think this organization should bring in problem boys. I can only hope and pray we'll see guys like him or Kadri in a Winged Wheel I despise cockyness and arrogance especially if players can't back it up. I hate the trend of young players coming into this league and acting cocky, selfish and arrogant a prime example would have been Yakupov and his over the top confidence + celebrations. Hockey isn't soccer, basketball or Football someone should have told these players before they've entered the league.. I think Girardi would be a good fit, low maintenance guy who still has some upside.

Russia produces one thing but that's something they are producing very well: elite forwards I can't remember the last time this country produced an first line not even talking about allstar defenseman. Ovechkin is the perfect example of that, the guy can score goals like nothing but you won't see him hustleing back or lay his body on the line in order to block a shot. He needs and wants to have the puck, that's fine if you have one OV on your line but others need to feed him the puck, so it was obvious after the first game that Malkin and OV would not work yet their coach never broke them up. According to some reports Malkin and Ovechkin also weren't happy with the selection of so many KHL players. At least they can try to win the WC this year now because I don't think the Capitals are going to make the playoffs. Can't wait for the Finland - Sweden game: Lundqvist - Rask expecting some never seen before goaltending from both of them should be beauty. -
He has missed some time and is trying to adjust to the most difficult market outthere with tons of pressure. I'd take him over Weiss every day at least he brings physicality and intangibles that's something you can't teach. But yes, so far he hasn't looked good same goes for Weiss and some other signings. We'll see when all is said and done.

I wouldn't be surprised one bit if the Lativian goalie played himself into a two way contract with this performance. There is nothing to be ashamed off facing such a hot goalie but now Canada is facing a hot goalie and a potent offense, they need their forwards to break out. -
Looking at this beauty rationally : Defense CAN > America Offense America > CAN Goaltending America > CAN So 2:1 << favorites are the Americans but that doesn't mean much. Really looking forward to a great hockey Friday.

AFter seeing the heroic fight by Lativia, I'm not sure anymore that the Swiss joked. Canadas forwards need to step it up. -
I would be very happy if we could get that Maata kid playing extremely well for Finland

Wow Sweden is really pushing it right now. Slovenia should be proud, they have under 1.000 registered hockeyplayers and are top 8 maybe 7 in their first olympic tournament. -

Huge respect for Slovenia they are playing very well against a top 4 powerhouse. Sweden even with all the injuries should be able too dominate them, so far it's an evenly matched game wow -
