Well firing Blashill is like changing the tires of your car, it will improve the grip but unless the engine is changed the performance boost will be negligible. So yeah first Holland and then if the new GM wants his own guy fire Blashill.

Wings are/were good at drafting forwards, in terms of drafting defenders they haven't had any success

I use whatever I want. didn't know the story about the Eichel Tower just heard the Sabres commentator saying it. Doesn't even matter this may not be such a draft but Patrick, Liljegren, Foote...would still still help a lot. Maybe it's an advantage that they don't come with the same hype so less pressure.

There shouldn't be a conflict, so far Howard has been the much better goalie and should get the chance to redeem himself. That being said the crease should be way down on the priority list there are much bigger holes with this team.

Disagreed I want someone who os going to hold other players accountable and will keep them honest, that's McKee. I don't care if he scores at all i want to see him hitting everyone, sticking up for teammates and provide entertainment that's good enough for me and the role of a 4 line player

Oh well if things are going south, maybe Tippet becomes available. He would be an established name with a very solid understanding of how to play defense and from the outside. Although I highly doubt changing the coach will improve an average roster without a number 1 center, number 1 defenseman by that much. But a guy like that won't be available so easily so bringing him and Gallant in would be a smart move. I may be one of the few but I feel bad for Blashill he has inherited such a bad team and is expected to get results, but on the other hand it's not his fault that some people had again rose colored dreams of a seamless taking over from Babs. tldr: well compared to the walls of text from Dabura and Echo it's short anyhow: Blashill doesn't have much to work it but i would welcome Tippet with open arms

See that's exactly the problem I don't have access to news like that because they are either behind an online paywall or I have to use a VPN to even access the sites. I know Wingitinmotown is a good site and then there is fox sports detroit but other than that it's hard to find such information so thank you for the information. As for GCL well I've used a site named hockeystreams (you had to pay to use it but it still got shut down) for less than GCL I've had better quality, no blackouts, world juniors and all NHL games but yet it got shut down for whatever reason, so that really left me angry because I think it was because of the MLB network going after them. In terms of Blashill look at Bednar he has a much better team and yet the results are even worse I guess being a rookie coach is really hard in this league. So I'm willing to give the guy time. But maybe realise now how good of a job Babcock did of course there were other things like Nyquist breaking out with a ridiculous point streak (that year he scored almost Stamkos like), but it was still very close at the end. Babs has that god given ability to get the most out of his players wheter that's exerpience, talent or whatever. Obviously I don't know what the answer is but firing Blashill if they miss might not be so smart.

I think the term bandwagoner is becoming as commonly used as the words fanboy or it's opposite hater. There are lots of reason why I've started to watch less and less NHL games. First of all I just want to dedicate more freetime to more important stuff like my chick, DIY Pcs and attending car shows, plus the games are starting at ungodly hours here and thanks to the redesign of a lot of websites it has become near impossible to watch the highlights without DVRing the games. Doing this is also increasingly diffciult because the NHL is shutting down great services for whatever reason. That basically means if you forget to DVR the game you are out of luck and I'm not willing to put in a great effort which means going out of my way to watch the so called "highlights" on a myspace site labeled as <insert team name>´. Second and more importantly the quality of the games has gone down overall. Yes leaner years are part of this NHL era fine but doing what'sd necessary is also part of this era so watching a team losing all it's stars due to retirment, age or the wish to play elsewhere has been a tough pill to swallow when you are used to getting the guys you want, no questions asked. Add to that a GM that is still lifingin the past, believes this is still 2008 and a billionaires son whos number 1 priority is to squeeze money from taxpayers to get his over the top LC logo on the new arena and not caring enough to make this once proud franchise great again and you have a perfect receipt for apathy. Of course this team is going to win some games and they are going to lose some of them but almost everyone knows the endgame by now, they either squeeze in to the playoffs or barely miss and then are out of getting a great pick, just so Chris and Holland can claim the streak has reached 26 years, altough the team needs elite talent more than a streak. If that's good enough for some fine personally my expectations for the Red Wings (longterm) are higher than that. If people think that's spoiled, bandwagonlike or whatever fine, to each their own. Does that mean I'm willing to ditch the team and jump on another bandwagon? For sure not it just means I'm not willing to waste my time from 1.30 AM to almost 3.30 AM on weekdays or weekend if there are better entertainment options outthere at the end of the day freetime is important to everyone and everyone should do what fits him best. Then the ithwr teams started to figure them out and all of a sudden they came back to earth because they couldn't find that other gear again, maybe it's the same with Mrazek who knows.

Never seen a goalie getting so much undeserved excuses it's ridiculous, everybody could see the talent in Price it was only a matter of time till he would break out. Mrazek either is able to play consistently at a starting goaltenders level or he isn't. If he isn't Wings will have to look for someone else if they expose Howard next year, simple as that. Man this team can't even beat the Blue Jackets...
