Good never wanted this guy.
-
Perfect fit for them man since the last year they've really turned the corner, happy for their fans.
-
Just waiting for the pricetag...

Thats the beauty when you aren't expecting anything, you are not going to be disappointed there was enough time to get this done I don't blame Brunner one bit best of luck wherever you are ending up you deserve an organization which appreciates you.

signed Wings sign Alfredsson to 1-year, $3.5m deal (+$2m bonuses)
frankgrimes replied to ogreslayer's topic in General
Not liking this at all Alfredsson doesn't help the Wings and he should have retired as a Sens legend, stupid stupid move not impressed -
WOW his wife is one hot chick guess she's always running around in such skimpy skirts so maybe another readon why he wants to play in a warmer climate. Jackets would reeallybe afeatfit forhim he is a warrior and will bring in that winner mentality.

Dreger is reporting that Alfredsson will not be back with the Senators and sign with the Wings. I hope this isn't true he doesn't help the Wings and should retire as a Senator. IF it it's true then meh let him retire as a Senator and sign a guy who can really help this team. Tl;dr would be a stupid move

Seguin, Eriksson swapped in 7-player deal between Bruins and Stars
frankgrimes replied to ogreslayer's topic in General
Sorry but thats ridiculous are they any trusted and proven sources for this kind of stuff? I mean if this is such a problem or was Dreger Lebrun or MacKenzie would have reported it already. I think it is really low class to harm a guy who just got traded with rumours like this, the herald should be ashamed. Like i said the guy isn 21 years of age and a millionaire let himenjoy life as long as it doesn't affect his play on the ice who cares? Also I don't like Chiarelli coming out and talking bad. About a player he just traded. If I wre him I'd be playing with a big hatred on my shoulder whenever facing myold team. -
there are two options: give Brunner what he wants and deserves or lose him via free agency and look forward to him lighting up the Wings what happens happens

Seguin, Eriksson swapped in 7-player deal between Bruins and Stars
frankgrimes replied to ogreslayer's topic in General
Where does this stuff that he hasn't his head in the right place come from? The guy is 21 a millionaire, let him fun hang out with hot chicks as long as he is a productive player who cares and yes he was a productive player, even on a third line role with the Bruins. Seguin 16g16a, Eriksson 12g19a - granted, numbers aren't everything but looking at this overall deal it is really simple: the team which gets the best player is winning the trade, so Dallas won. If I were a player I'd sue some reporters reporting harming, false stuff. Guy likes to party so what? Most of the people do.. -
I expect absolutely nothing so if something important happensI am going to be very surprised.

Smart move by his agent to push for a full NMC, Holmer will have to give out more of them thats what you getfor disrespecting your players. Great deal for Giroux I would have signed that too.

Tyler is better, younger AND a proven winner what more could one ask from a 21 old? -

I disagree Stars got by *far* the best player in the deal. Seguin is a future star in the making, 3 years from now they are going to regret this heavily. -

Wow Chiarelli got ripped off by Nil. Tyler Seguin is one of the upcoming stars use him as a center and the guy will flourish. Bad trade for Boston, very good one for the Stars. -
It is wierd isn't it? I know other teams are going to sign the big dogs but I can't help looking forward to this day, so much going on and TSN as always will be doing a fantastic job breaking down the newest trades and what not. Also I am very interested to see where Clarkson and Horton are going to land.

Lebrun reported that Bozak is asking for 8years and a bit under 5 m annually from the Leafs, this would be a huge mistake and an incredible overpayment. I'd rather have Weiss then but Bozak would still be better than Ribiero the guy just is an idiot.

Brunner NEVER played in the khl, he is from switzerland and played alongside Z in the nla. Yeah who would want a pure goalscorer, something the Wings have missed for a long time give the guy a break it was his first season the NHL and he did fairly well, if the Wings let him go it will be a mistake bitting them back soon.

Dreger: Filppula looking for $5.5m/season over at least 7 years
frankgrimes replied to a topic in General
Columbus is for sure on the rise, they are building a hardworking team first mentalit, and their VP Davidson is leading by example. They did draft well added Gaborik if they now Filpulla and Horton watch out..western conference. -
Flyers trying to get Bobby Ryan?
frankgrimes replied to St. Michael (the Red Wing)'s topic in General
If people would just stop going to his site or quoting his stuff, then this NON insider wouldn't even be a factor anymore but since his stupid ideas are getting posted on every message board hockeyb.... continues to exist sadfully. -
Well Carlyle absolutely hates guys that don't backcheck half the time even if they are forwards so I am really not surprised. Grabowski for 3,5 m 3 year max would be okayish nothing great but a nice stopgap but honestly I don't think he will come under 5 m.

Vanek is a great player for sure and obviously better than Clarkson, Horton but the guy - if he is even available - will cost the Wings $ + first round pick + asset as a GM I would not be willing to pay that for one year of Vanek. Knowing Holmgren I think they might try package deal (Miller + Vanek) for couturier, 1 pick, B. Schenn and something crazy like that. IF Vanek leaves Buffalo Miller will for sure follow, so this team would then be left without any star-players I don't think Pegula would be fine with that.

I don't think being realistic is a stretch. Let's be honest this team has not played a full season yet and they've made the playoffs during the last games a lot can happen in a full 82 games season. Improvements need to be made thats for sure. Like others have mentioned Detroit is going to face new competition and some tough teams in the east? Can they compete with Boston, Pittsburgh, Ottawa and the Rangers 3 of these are having outstanding goaltending and tight defensive first approach, so missing the playoffs for the first time since 22 years is a real possibility here. If the Flyes somehow get Thomas thinks are going to look even worse.

Wasn't he supposed to become their first line center? I think he wil go back to Russia

According to Dreger Bozark is looking at slightly under 5 for 7 years, so hopefully the Wings are staying away from him. According to Leafs fans the guy is useless without Lupul and Kessel.
