Well Domi should play tough but I am worried about the guy, he isn't nearly as feared as his dad was so something here doesn't add up.

    Gary Bettman Stanley Cup Presentations

Who locked t he players and the fans out for the third time in a row? This is the same guy, who had no problem moving franchises from Canada and relocate them to absolute joking markets but yet refuses and fights tooth and nails to relocate the stolen teams back. This midget is also the guy, who basically assembled the "BOG" a bunch of yaysayers and piss poor crybabies such as Jacobs, Wirtz are part of that group. I'd love for Dolan, Illitch, Snider and Pegula to come out and stop revenue sharing till we have a real hockeyguy as commissioner. I think the perfect human would do an unbelievable job, heck even Burke would be better than him... That said I was very very very disappointed with the effortless boos, Vancouver did an awesome job with that. Boston was even more lame than the Kings which is adl.

    Hawks new model franchise?

Of course having a piss poor owner, tanking for years and almost NO SUPPORT is for sure a model franchise. God I so hate the "new new" NHL wish owners like Illitch would be allowed to throw their wealth around, neither the Hawks the lockout co-responsible ***** named Jacobs would stand a chance against a loaded Wings team! So for all the Chicago "fans" who might now sho off.........get bent tanking suckers Thats why I was cheering for the Kings, sure they were bad too but didn't tank like crazy aka tankuins and blacktankers..so I respect the Kings but the Hawks *lol* hate hate hate thats all I can say to them.

    Saddledome Under Water

Hope the rivers are going down soon so the people can get back into their hopefully undamaged homes. Flames GM already warned people to not enter the building. Sent from my BlackBerry

    Canadiens to buy out Kaberle

His career has gone downhill after leaving the Leafs but whatever, the guy has made a lot of money so I am sure he can enjoy early retirement.

    Gary Bettman Stanley Cup Presentations

Well I thought, New Jersey, the Wings and obviously Vancouver did extremely well. Chicago and Boston will have to try hard in order top it.

    Gary Bettman Stanley Cup Presentations

I always loved the idea of having a former legend from each of the two opponents handing out the cup. If I were the captain I wouldn't even wait just take the cup and celebrate with the my organization and fans.

Tortorella offered coaching job in Vancouver

Well for the other teams this could turn out well. According to some "Tweets" some Canuck players are already holding their breath and thats even before he has officially been named the new head-coach. To me this is a clear message, that some players don't want him as coach and aren't willing to play for him. If thats the case, I could easily see guys like Hamhuis, Kesler and Bieksa being available very soon. If against all odds this is working out well, then the Canucks will be a force to fear again.
  12. Less than one week to get something for him. I don't care if its 2 rounder (trade), or just a 3 or 4 rounder but at least get a draft pick for his rights. Streit got the Islanders a 4 so Filps should be in the same ballpark here. Letting him walk for nothing would be stupid. Ask the Predators, Blues, Kings ...teams, that need offense and might not shy away from giving him a chance.

Tortorella offered coaching job in Vancouver

To me this sounds like a big gamble. The Canucks are an incredible talented offensive team so Tortarellas blocking shots - ???? - profit trible type of system won't work there. To me this just looks like Gillis is getting very desperate or the owners are already calling the shot and at that point we all know, which axe will come down next. The expectations in Vancouver are through the roof, media attention is worse than in New York - they are the only hotstory 24/7 - and now you bring in a guy, who is known for blasting his players in the media AND starting wars with the media? This screams disaster.

Nobody has to watch it. If some people think, hockey into june is boring or too long there is an easy way out: turn off the TV...

2013 Stanley Cup Finals - Boston Bruins vs. Chicago Blackhawks

Thats extremely strange isn't it? I don't like either team so I am cheering for both to lose but cheering for our most hated rival is just strange.

Tortorella offered coaching job in Vancouver

I really thought Boucher or Stevens wouldh ave been a perfect decision in Vancouver. Both stress defense something the high powered offensive Canucks are lacking. Certainly if this was an ownershop move, Gillis has to be on the hot seat right?

2013 Stanley Cup Finals - Boston Bruins vs. Chicago Blackhawks

Bruins look a bit gased and slow but there is no way Chicago can kee this up over 3 periods just no way. Man Chara needs to step his game up bigtime.

    Saddledome Under Water

Sad news, hopefully nobody has been injured, killed and the insurances are helping them out with rebuilding the lost stuff. As for the saddledome, thats tough the Flames better prepare for another place to play in what if they don't find one? Would they even allowed to play out the season?

Who would you rather have: Marchand or Shaw?

This is like deciding, if you want to jump from the right or left side into the sea. That said easily Shaw. Marchand is just acting tough, because the Bruins tough guys are having his back. This guy would play a very different style, if that wasn't the case. Shaw at least brings a physical element and is usable even without bodyguards.

Tortorella offered coaching job in Vancouver

They have named Rolston their hc at may 7. Wow Gillis must really hate his core in order to go the Tortarella route. This guy was voted the second least likable coach players would be willing to play for. He is just an awful awful fit, with the type of personal the Canucks have. Under this circumstances I can't see the Sedins staying beyond their contracts.Vancouver is - like mentioned - way to skilled for a Tortarella type system and especially too loaded for the kick-ass approach he is going to bring. Wonder, if some players thought AV would be a hard ass coach just wait for the arrival of mister John T... I certainly expect to drop a few points and for the first time since almost a half decade fighting for a playoff spot. Horrible decision Gillis should get the axe . Kesler, Sedins, Raymond and some of their young guns might now be available soon :-)
  22. Rereading the comments from Kenny I think the Wings have already made their decision and both sides know it. Good luck Filps wherever you are going to end up. This is a very weak UFA class so I think he will get at least 5 per from a team desperate for offense (Predators, Blues, Jackets, Flames or Buffalo if they trade Vanek).

Flyers trying to get Bobby Ryan?

Great and deadly punch for sure but they'd have to score at a combined 3 goals per game rate because their defense would be atrocious. What does it take for the Flyers and the Pens to realize that run and gun without defense just doesn't cut it? Buying out Bryzgalov might save them capspace but if they don't commit to a more balanced gameplan no goalie will succeed there.

    2013 Offseason Thread

I would be happy if the Wings could get Frederik Gauthier, dude has great size and is nasty, 6'5 210 and then hope that Ryan Pulock could fall into the second round. This would give the Wings two big upcoming guys at center and defense, add to that one of Clarkson/Horton + an enforcer and the smallish, pushed around Wings things are going to be a thing of the past soon. Third round Michael Wheatton without question the guy is 6,4 and already at 228 what a beast.

    Avs passing on Jones?

Well you can't go wrong with either of the three. Thinking about Landeskog paired with MacKinnon is scary. Jones has to bulk up no question but seriously Colorado will get a great player. Sent from my BlackBerry
