I hate that stuff and I think finds are a joke just suspend the players who are getting caught doing it.

They don't have anything to do with Abby and the extension but I will say this: 4 years and less to completely rebuild their teams and now look at Tampa and Dallas. The Captain and Nil have done a tremendous job and if we are only looking at the last 4 years yes better than Holland. I don't know why people are bitching so much about Abby yeah the contract is on the higher side but so what? Mr. I is worth around 5 billion and the cap keeps going up it's not like Holland is paying him 6 mill over 7 years.

Longer and a bit more than I expected but the guy is a heart and soul player he brings energy and physicality. plus the deal is front loaded by the time he declines the cap will be easily more than 100 million

agreed and he won't cost much either something like 3,4 aav for 4 years should do the trick

Helmer is a hard working gritty guy something the Wings don't have enough of and people would let him walk ? I'd rather bring in more players of that breed by trading guys like Pulkinnen, Jurco.

My bad granted Goose is only included under the condition that Kopitar would be willing to sign an extension here.Guys like AA, Pulkinnen in a trade for him ... I still think it's a pipe dream but Lombardi is playing with fire here.

I can't stand Burrows and came to like Tootoo a lot sadly he never really got a chance here but that wasn't his fault. Tootoo is tough and I fully expect him to deal with this like a man and pound Burrows next time they'll meet, there just wasn't and reason to make a big deal out of this...Tootoo like I've said is more than capable of handling this like a man.

Well he has been here for 10 years (a decade!) so at that point I'd expect every coach to lose the room (it will happen to Quenville too), heck it happened to Scotty Bowman and that guy is obviously in the running for the best coach ever. To me it's real simple Babs has won at every level, guys in the know are calling him first and then build the team around him. I mean looking at th all-star coaching team Canada is going to ice for that stupid worldcup is insane...Babs, Quennville, Julien I'm appreciate of everything Babs has done for this team and during the last years he pretty much showed that he can even coach average teams to be way better than they should be (on paper at least). Yes I think he is the best coach in hockey but that doesn't mean that others aren't good coaches too...Q, Suter, Hitchcock, Tippet, Trotz are all knowledgable guys and obviously very good too.

Everything under 5 is fine with me the guy has improved tremendously, is one of the way too few physical players on this team who also isn't shy of dropping the mits. In terms of Danny D I think he will look for a Pietrangelo (obviously less aav) type of deal. Maybe something like ~ 6.5 x 7

I personally believe it is the wrong decision. Babcock has won everything with team Canada, the world cup of hockey is a joke (see team europe and team under 24). So why risk a perfect legacy for such a joke? Sure team Canada as always is the best team but I don't think the players will give their all or even take this thing half seriously so it is a waste of time. Do coaches get paid for coaching during the WC? I mean it is in the off season.

It's not worth it let them think whatever they want The people who are in the know or tasked with building and leading team Canada's all-star roster know it and most normal fans do too, it's Babcock without question. 3 words: Toronto is rebuilding Guy will go down as one of the best coaches ever not even Toronto can tarnish this legacy at worst Babs reputation might take a bit of a hit if the team doesn't improve in a few years but right now there are absolutely zero expectations and of course the Leafs are one of the favorites for Matthews. Babcock did an unbelievable job by getting the Wings into the playoffs the previous years. Stanley cup , b2b gold medals on different ice his legacy is already set. Personally I'm still shocked that the Penguins didn't try to get him or that he chose Toronto over the Buffalo Eichels.

Whether you like it or not this team is in transition and has been for quite some time now. Maybe missing the playoffs would kick of a real rebuild and a better chance at Matthews. If you went into this season with false expectations that's your own fault..btw. The Bolts are on a whole different level the captain rebuilt this team in 4 freaking years unreal
