    Moving Jimmy Howard

I wonder who doesn't watch Wings games, the one who carried the Wings till he got hurt was Jimmy Howard. Maybe he came back too early maybe not but till the injury he played very well. But oh course your boy Mrazek didn't play in these games so you aren't mentioning it. No, I can not see into the future but I know who super rare goalies such as King Henrik, Price, Quick ...and the other elite ones are so expecting someone to even come close to that standard is looking for a disappointment. If he turns out to be a solid starter people should be more than happy with that. You just can't accept the fact that your favorite player isn't without his flaws and will have to work hard on them, while Jimmy on the other hand already has proven that he is a solid number 1 goalie (mind you not an elite one).

    Moving Jimmy Howard

Well if that isn't an option then develop him as a backup and see where it goes. He is not ready to be a number 1. Can't believe people are comparing him to Carey Price he will never ever be as good as the elite ones and especially not as good as the best goalie in the world right now. I mean the season Price had was unreal, this guy played so well he got an inept offense and questionable at best defense into the playoffs. Goalies are the hardest players to predict according to some scouts so why not take it slowly and see where it goes but one thing is for sure if he doesn't work on his over-aggressive style he will have trouble.

    Moving Jimmy Howard

This is clear to most people, except a few hardcore Mrazek supporters. I mean it's the same story every year, a rookie comes in does (mostly) well and then people are expecting him to replace the current number 1 goalie and become the next elite one...when in fact more often than not the holy backup falls back to earth and ends up bouncing around between teams and in most cases never establishing himself as a proven number 1. Mrazek isn't ready for the #1 job and still needs time to round out his game in the AHL because sooner rather than later his over-aggressive style will get exposed by more than just a few teams. That being said Jimmy needs to get back into his pre-injury form that's for sure.

Curtis Glencross regrets taking hometown discount

I feel bad for him and his fate is exactly the reason why players shouldn't give a discount at all. I'm always amazed when people say players should sign for a lot than they are worth to do the teams a favor. Why should they a hockey career can end at any time it just takes one serious injury and a guy could be done. Also this should be a remainder why it's important to get a good education, just signing PTOs and not knowing if you'll receive money is a tough thing when you have to feed a whole family. Just another example on how stupid the CBA always was and always will be, good guys are getting punished and faced out way too early. I'm hoping he can find a job somewhere and make up for that stupid home discount he gave a few years back.

    Moving Jimmy Howard

Mrazek is unproven and still has to round out his game, there a lot of goalies who come in but after while they come back down to earth because other teams are figuring them out and adjusting their attack style accordingly. Howard is a capable proven number 1 sure he is not elite but only a few guys are. Also with Blashill coming in everyone will have to earn the trust of the new coach so I expect Howard to have one hell of a season and around 10 - 15 games for Mrazek if Howard stays healthy.
  6. Hillary Duff she played Lizzie McGuire on Nickelodeon.
  7. Face, dress and overall style this babe could easily become the next Britney. It's really worth mentioning how a lot of former Nick young stars are going on to have great careers I.e Ariana and Hillary both are absolute bombs
  8. Ariana Grande should be the benchmark on how to do chick music videos

Richards has a contract the Kings agreed to ... this will be a very easy decision for the judge.

Grantland: The Heavyweight Belt of NHL Rivalries

which would be a shame this is the last real rivalry in the game and it doesn't matter if the teams are meeting in the playoffs or regular season, more often than not these are the most entertaining gsmes. The problem is Rutherford prefers a princess over a Penguins style type of game ... As seen in Carolina when he traded away their only tough guy in Westgarth. Philly still has a few tough guys ready to call up, Sam Morin is not afraid to pay down the hammer and Simmonds while not heavy is a very good fighter too in his own weight class.Pittsburgh has Steve McIntyre in the AHL but would Rutherford call him up? Sadly I think not. Anyhow this rivalry has been one of the few bright sports in an otherwise boring to watch eastern conference, just a few years ago the Leafs vs Habs was also must watch TV or Boston vs Buffalo now it's down to only one rivalry unfreakingbelievable.

    Adidas Gets NHL Jersey Deal

I too like some of their products, specially the sneakers and beach wear. But the truth is they aren't a hockey company and it's just another evidence that the guys running this league would risk their own life if they saw a few cents on the street. Graf makes the best and most comfortable skates out there, they do have a hockey background and have been in the business of hockey since forever. Adidas' only hockey background is buying CCM ... The best thing would have been if each team decides on their own, this stupid league has to much power over the teams. Marek versus Wishinsky just talked about that new deal also and some ideas are just hilarious like sponsored icing, PIMs I can see it now this fight was proudly brought to you by Hayabusa...Soon NHL players will look like walking billboards .

Kings sign Ehrhoff to 1 year deal

great deal it's a win win for both, Ehrhoff gets a chance to improve his value and the Kings have their animal replacement on a cheap 1 year contract. The clock is ticking for Franson now maybe he is hoping for a real contender

Grantland: The Heavyweight Belt of NHL Rivalries

Thanks for the link such a great read , the title picture is just perfect. Can't wait for the day we are going to see this again. Wings versus Avs was such a great rivalry the hall of fame talent , the flat out pure hatred, the fights the blood that's hockey. The only rivalry that has come close to this in recent history has to be Pens versus Philly. I love watching these games they hate each other and aren't afraid to show it .. Sadly it's probably the last great remaining rivalry in this league. But the battle of Alberta could return soon hopefully the hatred with it.

    Adidas Gets NHL Jersey Deal

I don't think Adidas sucks BUT it's not like Bauer, CCM or Graf in other words it's not a hockey brand. So now a non hockey brand is going to design hockey jerseys another brilliant decision by the league.

    Getting bigger.

For me it's very simple a power forward does it all, he scores, hits and occasionally fights. There are a lot forwards with great size but not all of them are using it. It's a shame that there are less and less power forwards because they are entertaining as hell to watch and thanks to their versatility they can play in almost every situation. By losing Looooch the Bruins lost more than just a forward they've lost as tough as nails power forward who would do everything to win.

    Getting bigger.

Wings needed to get bigger and nastier to play against. Back in the day this wasn't just a highly skilled team the wings were also a right no nonsense or else group. Mess with Stevie and Koccur or McCarty are going to mess with you , Shanahan wasn't afraid to mix it up either. Downey showed the Avalanche that cheapshots aren't going to fly.. Nowadays this team is playing like a bunch of *******, only Ericsson and Abdelkader are willing to stand up for themselves or other players. This soft Euro style is boring as hell to watch, back in the days the Wings were a very entertaining team because they could play every style and succeed. Jagr is not a power forward he is a big guy who uses his size to protect the puck extremely well but he doesn't play with the same edge like Lucic, Backes, Getzlaf and Shanahan do/did.

    Adidas Gets NHL Jersey Deal

Why can't teams negotiate their own deals ? You know ask some of these companies to provide an acceptable concept and choose the one that suits the winged wheel best. If that's Adidas so be it but if Nike has a better one why not choose them ? Personally I've always thought the more annoying an ad is the less likely I'll buy their product. Yes I know who that stupid Ge...o company is but thanks to their stupid annoying eyes I'd never ever choose their service. Same goes for that car insurance company - no freaking way. Can't wait till NHL players will look like moving billboards like in Europe.

Number One Center vs. Number One Defenseman

Exactly it's been only 3 years now and I'm already begging to see another defender who is at least close to our former #5 but I think we'll have to wait a long time before another perfect human will hit the ice

Number One Center vs. Number One Defenseman

Offense wins games and defense championships. Obviously both are extremely important but I'd pick a stud number 1 a over a stud center.

Stan Bowman (CHI) on CBA troubles

I'd wait till the dust is settled on this because it's far different from the Voynov situation but if he is guilty they'll might as well cancel his contract. Which would take the whole regret tomorrow idea to new dimensions...cause it would basically be a 84 million one night stand (probably the most expensive in the history lol). One thing to keep in mind, Seabrook is entering the last year of his contract and I'm sure he is looking at at least a Boychuck type of deal will Chicago be able to offer that ?

Stan Bowman (CHI) on CBA troubles

http://www.tsn.ca/blackhawks-hurting-after-moves-forced-by-cap-1.332728 Well welcome to the Detroit red wings land Blackhawks, this is a league known for punishing successful teams in order to force parity even if owners are willing to spend whatever it takes. And this will also be the downfall of this league coupled with a few other questionable decisions.

Red Wings Sign D Robbie Russo

I like the deal and even if he doesn't turn out as another Dekeyser it didn't cost anything. At least it will increase competition and the Wings have lacked someone willing to use his size, dishing out hits (Kronwall will even do less of it thanks to the suspension) and willing to drop the gloves so it's a nice change.

Help. Seeking DRW management team contact

From what I've found out the teams are contacting the guys they want to hire, i.e. Dubas (who was a GM in juniors), Dello and the other were former bloggers. So I guess the best chance the member would be trying to get their attention first and he is deemed good enough they might contact him.

Las Vegas rumored to get an expansion team

Why even defend the thoughts ? I don't care what some people think I want hockey to remain a niche sport, it's nice to know who is there but more importantly who isn't and hopefully never will be. Also I hope hockey will never ever become close to the crimerates of the thugleague = NBA or the NFL The current front-office would play hockey on the moon if there was a 1 % chance of that, I mean I don't surf in the winter and hockey doesn't belong to places like Vegas not just because of the huge sideshows but also because their isn't and will ever be enough interest most of the fans will be of the opposing teams and the premium seats will be sold but empty. Also people are always mentioning Phoenix and Florida but keep in Mind Carolina is also getting into more and more trouble so that's 3 possible relocation teams in the next 5 years.
