Draft is over. No the names are never right in mock drafts. But it looks like the RW's and I were seeing and thinking the same way. Lots of forwards early with a couple of BIG Dmen late. Love the Mantha pick. Lets see how things turn out over the next 3-5 years.

2013 draft is over. 8 picks. 6 were forwards, 2 dmen. all but 1 pick are 6-1 or taller. Most of these guys will grow over the next 2-3 years. the only pick that bothers me was bertuzzi. not that we took him, when we took him. But over all a good draft. Most are 3-5 years away. Mantha could be ready in 2 years.

Look at it this way. Many-not all, scouts think he can play harder and show more effort. But he did score 50 goals this year. So if there is more room for improvement, what can he become? 50 goals in the NHL? Yes. he does have that type of talent.

Marc McNulty 6-5/185 D
-
was Myles Bell drafted yet?

Some random names left out there. Tyler Hill 6-6/225 LH LW, Willem Haag 6-1/200 LH LW, Last name of Torok-played for Iowa. 6-2/195 is a Czech version of Hommer. Not a good skater but great front of net guy.

ethic, that is it. had 8 points in the WHL last year. Tyler Hill would have been a better pick at this point.

Big stay-at-home defenseman who chose the Rockets over many U.S. University scholarships he was offered. Wants to be a hockey player and will work hard and improving all parts of his game. Already over 225 pounds. Big, but docile. He gets picked apart and skaters blow by him, because he hasn't perfected his turns and hasn't even caught up to the WHL speed. Will need to continue gaining quickness and strength but looks like a long-term project. --Bill Placzek--

5th round: Mitchell Wheaton. 6-4/230 LH D
-
Know nothing about the swede. Other than what nhl.com has=6-1/190 lh C.
-
He is 5-9/160ish and not a scorer. There are far better prospects at every position still on the board.

when a guy is ranked 230th by CS you can wait. No I have no idea how he will turn out. But there is no reason to take him now. He would have been there in the 5th, 6th, 7th rounds.
-
230th by CS. Could have been taken in the 7th freaking round.

Terrible pick.
