I didn't link it, just typed it in. Dubinsky would be a 3rd line guy. 26, 6-1/210 LH shot, has had mid 20 G totals for the Rangers in the past-part of the Nash deal, and is good for 90+ PIM's per year. Can play C/LW.
-
They are heading for a rebuild. So youth and picks. The totals would depend on what we take. Both of those D's are UFA's IIRC, so filppula would get one of them. Nyquist would be part of it.

We can shuffle the lines untill we are blue in the face. But that doesn't change the fact we need more talent. We only have 3 scorers: Datsyuk, Z and Brunner. That is it. No one else on this roster can score much. Tatar is on pace for just under 20 goals over 80 games. Sammy has only had 2 seasons in his entire career with more than 20 goals. he isn't much of a scorer. yes 2 years ago he had 30. But that was his career high water mark. Bert hasn't scored more than 18 in 5 years. Guys, come on we just don't have it. We can hope for better, dream of better, but this group just isn't capable of it. Now we have exhausted datsyuk and Zetterberg, it could get much worse. Only the plus side, the D is playing better, so we don't have to score as much......we hope..........

Ok, they would like some more scoring and have a good amount of cap space. Franzen for their 1st?
-
http://www.mynhltraderumors.com/tag/david-clarkson/ 4.5 million? Hell yes we can afford and need that. same story also mentions Umberger could be available for draft picks. rather not give those up......
-
ya, why would we want a 50 goal scorer that is only 27...... That being said, I expect him to resign with the Ducks. They have plenty of cap space. 19.5 million yet to spend for next season, after resigning Getz. But maybe those commercials with Nicky will help! LOL
-
Are you saying Howard isn't as good as Luongo?
-
30 G's last year. That is proving he can do it. Also as I mentioned before, last year was his first in a scoring role. he produced. Now with getz resigning today, maybe 6.5 is more like it. Still very doable.

Red Wings to be in an Eastern conference in latest NHL/NHLPA proposal
Richdg replied to a topic in General
Ok, moving to the EAST. GREAT! Awesome! Glab to see the Habs, ML's, and Bruins ona regular basis again. On a more serious side, how mcuh do we beef up? The EC teams play a slower-good for us, much more physical style-bad for us. Playing a bigger more physical team once in a while, isn't an issue. but doing it night after night, will become an issue. Our D has the size needed to handle it, but we are very small up front. How much and how fast do you think we will make changes? Slowly through the draft only? Or faster via trades and FA? -
Got confused.... sammy has one not Cola..... oh well, either way he needs to go. No, You think that. It would be the smart thing to do. BTW, what happened last year? Everyone was bidding on Suter, while TB signed carle and vancover signed Garrison. Both of which would have been good pick ups for many teams. Now it will not matter, I think it is over 50% that Perry resigns with the Ducks. They can go longer on a deal than the other 29 teams can. If we let Filppula walk we should have 10 million to spend, while keeping everyone else that is currently signed. Add Clarkson for 6ish and Torres for 4 ish. Puts more beef, grit, and scoring on 2 lines.

Norris? Please pass what he is smoking..... Ok, it may happen. 1. The Norris has become all about the O. if you put up points, your name will be considered. To date Kronwall has done that. 2. Many of the other projected leaders are out/having really bad years. 3. His name is Nick. Maybe some are confused...... LOL
-
To put this in perspective. Franzen is 33, averages .58 points per game in the NHL and is signed for 7 more years. He will be 40 when his contract expires. So getz is almost twice the production, twice the money, and his team is off the hook at 36. Looks a little better now.
-
Well..... not surprised. But think about this for a few minutes. Getz.... averages .93 points per game. Perry is at .82 and Ryan at .74. Those are each players NHL caareer numbers. he is also soon to be 28. So when his contract ends, he will be 36, not a real old age. According to capgeek, after this extension, the Ducks still are 19.5 million UNDER the cap for next year-64.3 million. They only have a handfull of UFA/RFA's to deal with. TBH this isn't that bad of a deal for the Ducks.
-
They need more tending and McCollum looks to be getting passed by. He has pretty good numbers overall, so maybe a trade could be worked out? Just a thought.......
-
A shutout and Abby finally breaks through....... He has hit everything else this year, skates, stikes, posts, crossbars, goalies....... not the twine...... maybe he can get going a little bit now.
-
ya, he has been working hard and doing all the dirty work. Needs a little love......
-
BTW, I love the new RW family Pack commercials. All the banners hanging from the ceiling at the end, awesome!
-
Not sure we ever see Bert on the ice again. In fact it might be time to sit him down and talk about his long term health and quality of life. Sometimes players do need to be protected from themselves.
-
Is there bad ice tonight? Lot of guys falling down.....
-
The development of our young D has been awesome!
-
finally Emmerton gets a goal.
-
Not a great goal, but we will take it. makes up for the posts......... 22 don't try brown again.

Red Wings to be in an Eastern conference in latest NHL/NHLPA proposal

YES!!!!!!!!!!! All but offical!!!!!!! -
paid 1 million but the cap hit is still 4 million. That is the issue. Not the money, that is already spent and mostly paid out. even if he retires, we still take the 4 million cap hit every year through 2021.

lol.... sometimes my fingers betray me.......
