Should I complain about the jersey customization?

Thanks for all the replies. I decided that I can live with it (it is very minor) and will not contact SportsK. I guess the reason I posted about this was to find out if others had similar experiences with SportsK because I was/am going to send them another blank Red Wings jersey I have for customization.

Should I complain about the jersey customization?

Actually I did notice the numbers being off when I pulled it out of the package. I did a double take, and it was only then that I pulled out a ruler to confirm or deny it. Hey, I'm not really anal about this, however now that I know the numbers are not straight I will always know they are not straight. Not sure what to do. Maybe I should just contact SportsK and inform them of the problem and see what they say.

    Wings sign Ilari Filppula 1yr/$500k

I believe the biggest problem with this signing will be the jerseys. Imagine if he makes the team then we will have one jersey with the lettering V. Filppula and another with the lettering I. Filppula. I hate the first name initial on jerseys.

Avs over-achieved in 2009-2010. They will not make the playoffs next year.

please chicago win the stanley cup

Chicago must not win the Cup. Joe Q is the worst coach ever, and despite being handed all the talent he has this year, he is still managing to piss it all away. Just like in the X-Files where they said the Buffalo Bills would never win the Super Bowl, same thing for Joe Q: Joe Q will never win the Stanley Cup.

    I'm eating Crow for Breakfast

Well, on Monday I said the yotes would win 3-1 because the Wings were not hungry enough. Now I have to eat my crow for breakfast. My wife told me "I hope you are hungry enough this morning". Sucks to doubt the Wings.

Red Wings will win game 7

Hate to say it but I see Phoenix winning Game 7 3-1. Wings just are not as hungry as the youngsters and they will not win a Game 7 on the road.

    Red Wings Nike Jersey Questions

I have both an authentic Nike 1998 jersey in a size 56 and a CCM 6100 (last jersey before the new Reebok stye was announced) authentic size 56 jersey and they are both basically the same size in width, length, sleeve length, etc. A size 56 was basically an XXL. Hope this helps.

    Road Trip, boys done good

I would love to see the Divealanche fall out of the playoffs. All season long I have heard the bandwagon dives fans badmouthing the Wings and how much better they were. Would be sweet justice!

    1-0-0

Personally I would love to see Colorado fall from the 6th spot. Wings are only 4 points back although Avs have a game in hand. Wings could possibly catch them. Would be great to see all the bandwagon Avs monkeys panic if they fell to the 8th spot and maybe out of the playoffs all together. That would be an epic fail!

    15 of the next 19

Funny, I was thinking the exact same thing earlier today. With 96 points basically being the line were a team makes the playoffs over the last few years, the boys had 70 points as of last night and I figured they would need to go 13-5-2 over their last 20 just to make the 96 point level.

Anyone Else Miss the Larger International Rinks?

So, anyone else miss the larger international-sezed rinks during Olympic play? I used to really like them as it was my only opportunity to see hockey on the larger ice surface. After watching the first few games of these Olympics on the NHL-sized ice I feel like I am missing something. Oh well.

Rockin my Red Wings gear at the Denver Pepsi Center

So my hockey team had the opportunity to play at the Pepsi Center in Denver following the Ava-Dallas game on Sunday night. Both teams had to sell a total of 100 tickets (various prices from $27 - 95) to qualify, and we had about 15 minutes after the end of the game to get dressed and out on the ice. Most of us bought multiple tickets to bring family members along with us and they were able to come down to the seats just behind the benches and watch us play. Here is a picture of me just before the game started. My team's name is Red Army, and we wear New Jersey uniforms. I could not resist the opportunity to wear my Red Wings gear, so here I am (along with the help of eBay) with my Red Wings helmet, gloves, pants, socks and stick (Franzen pants, Kronwall gloves and stick). The workers at the Pepsi Center had a big grin on their faces when I skated out onto the ice! I was amazed at how small the players benches are - no wonder the NHL guys are always leaning forward as it is very cramped and very little leg room. You do sit up higher though as compared to my local rink. Also, we all commented at how easy it was to hear all the little sounds, especially when we were trying to communicate with each other. Definitely something I will not forget. By the way, we won 5-0.

Rockin my Red Wings gear at the Denver Pepsi Center

One thing I forgot to mention about this whole concept of adult league teams playing at the Pepsi Center after Avs games is that it is all supposedly designed to sell more Avs tickets. We had about 15-20 different dates that we could have chosen to play on, and finally settled on last Sunday just because it was in the middle of January. Sucks that the Stars decided not to show up and the Avs blew them out. My seats were up in the top rows and the end of the rink, so I had a good view of the entire stadium. There were MANY EMPTY SEATS. One of the employees said it was because it was a Sunday night, and with the NFL playoffs on at the same time I might have some sympathies toward that argument. However, it is well known here in Denver that the Avs are significantly under-drawing in attendance despite having a winning team (notice I did not say a good team). Also the fact that the NBA Denver Nuggets resurgence plays into this as well; Nuggets tickets are the hot commodity in town right now. Still, give the Avs credit in a creative marketing idea to get people to come to a game. Does anyone know of other NHL teams that are doing anything similar?

Here is another pic of me on the bench. We used the Avs team bench for the game.

Rockin my Red Wings gear at the Denver Pepsi Center

Thanks for the comment about our Red Army jerseys - when the team decided on the name I was pushing to use the Wings jerseys however being here in Colorado the other players quickly nixed that idea. So they decided on the New Jersey Devils pattern. I forgot who came up with the logo design but they did a good job. I play defense and wear number #16 in honor of Vladdy. The Red Wings worn Franzen pants (Tackla bottom half only) I bought on ebay last summer for $80. The Kronwall gloves (new never worn) I got on ebay for $100, and the Kronwall stick (I have 3 of them) cost from $110 - 130 on ebay depending on when I bought them and how much bidding there was on the stick. The helmet is a standard red Bauer 9500 helmet; I purchased the Red Wings helmet stickers on ebay and applied to each side, along with the numbers on the back. There are a few ebay sellers who always have Red Wings gear up for sale - some stuff is a good deal and some items, particularly jerseys, sell for alot of money.

Thank you all for a wonderful time!

Just wanted to say thanks to all the posters here as I really enjoy following the Wings games from Denver. A few months ago I was diagnosed with stomach cancer, and started to receive kemo. Not a pleasant experience. However this has not worked out so on Wednesday morning I will have surgery to remove 1/2 of my stomach. The good news is that I will no longer be able to eat as much (so will lose some weight) however the bad news is that the survival rate for stomach cancer is not all that great to begin with. My doctors feel confident that the surgery will do the trick so we will see. My family/doctors will not allow me to watch the game tomorrow night even if I am capable of doing so because my body would not be able to take the strain. My heart was beating very fast on Monday night for most of the game and there is no way I could do the same tomorrow night. It reminds me of when I was a kid watching the Michigan-Ohio State games - I thought I was going to have a heart attack then! I will of course record the game/s to view later if I am able. Anyways, thanks for all of the great posts. It really helps those of us who do not see the Wings regularly stay in touch. Thanks again and I hope to be back in the future.

Why are the Pens automatically annoited the "dynasty" tag?

This is exactly why the league has pushed the Pens over the Wings recently. You need to look at the big picture of how to market the league. Bettman is right in that having a win in a city where hockey is not on the front page of the sports section every night is a bigger deal than when an original 6 team does win. By having teams besides the Original 6 win they expand the fan base AND encourage advertisers to sign up. It is easier to convince a large company to spend advertising dollars on the NHL when they know someone in Florida or Arizona is also watching as opposed to only having a few cities in a few Eastern-oriented US states viewing their commercials. Also, think of this situation as if you owned a company with several complimentary products. You have the old and trusted brand name (Wings here) that everyone knows but sometimes just does not get the job done (1999 & 2003 playoff upsets). You also have a new product that basically does the same thing however you can promote it in a sexy way (Crosby) and attract some new customers at the same time. What would you do? And do not start down the road about letting the Original 6 cities hang out to dry because of the lack of attention - this is a very sound marketing strategy that is in use every day by every major company. Yes, the hardcore fans are taken for granted in the NHL, as they are in every other sports league. As a Wings fan living in Colorado, I see first hand the bandwagon fans and their support of the Dives. I also will bemoan the fact that the Wings do not get the respect they deserve. However, the only way for the Wings to get their respect is to put the puck in the net and win games.
