Holmström was second best scorer in the U18 world championship after Nylander last season, apparently needs to work on his skating though. -

Gunnarson is lightyears better than Kindl, just think about the fact that he had to pick up the slack for Phaneuf all last season

I would've loved to see Gunnarson in Detroit, he is big and very strong defensively. A perfect 2nd pairing guy.

Håkan is on the board of Frölunda the club that Ehn plays for so I'm sure he has seen this kid more and has more info about him than any other scout out there. -
No thanks on Havlat, he hasn't been the same since Kronwall nearly killed him.

I really hope the fact that he is a Michigan boy didn't weigh in too heavily in this decision. His other credentials are ok but not overly exciting.

Now I'm gonna be pessimistic for a bit but it and say that it would be nice if any of that homegrown talent would actually be great too and not just mediocre filler players.

The description of Tuch doesn't get me too excited "Tuch is a big power winger who skates well with strong balance. He typically is called upon to be the meat and potatoes guy on a skilled line and does so very effectively. Impressive forchecker. Uses his frame to protect the puck and physically supporting his linemates."
