He still has close to 0.4points per game but he was unlucky with a few injuries. Either way you are simplifying a great deal, there are many players who could've had really solid NHL careers but for different reasons it didn't work out for them.

Karlssons upside is that he can still get a lot better tho, I doubt Weber will continue to improve much if philly are lucky he will play at the level he is at for many years but that is really the best they can hope for. Karlsson is an elite elite talent, he has the smoothest pattern of movement ever, almost liquid at times. But with more experience he will learn to judge situations better and also improve his positioning and skills in his own zone. He will also most likely get both bigger and stronger and faster. Point I'd much rather take Karlsson at the contract he was just signed at than Weber at what philly is offering him.

Just out of curiosity, are you allowed to add cash in a trade? Like it says above give columbus a player and like 15million cash? I've never heard of anyone who has done that. If it's possible it might be time for Mr. I to bring out the big wallet...

Have never fallen out of the top5? haha what kind of measuring stick is that? how would one of the two super powers in hockey fall out of the top5 when there are barely five good countries combined? Russia has more players, more money more everything than any other country combined except for Canada. How have they done in the last couple of tournaments when all the best players have played? When they have too many stars they almost always play "one man show" ice hockey. Compare to Sweden and Finland who are much more of a collective and truly know how to get the best out of eachother and play for eachother in every situation. Russians players are often lone stars who might work hard but don't function very well in a group. This is one reason the russian national team rarely has any success, all those stars but they can't play together.

Any player... Well I don't agree, Howard in the net makes me nervous he very rarely looks solid and I doubt he will ever get close to the heights that Quick can reach. And I think Howard has lost the goalie matchup in every single playoff series I've seen him start in. I guess time will tell and I would not mind in the least if he proved me wrong.

Howard is nowhere near Quick He also has a tendency to seem to get worse in the playoffs while Quick is a playoff monster...

I don't approve of anything he is not perfect but he does do a lot of good and saying that any player in the league would do a better job is just bloody ignorant...
