You can put a player on unconditional waivers for the purpose of mutual contract termination? Why didn't we do this with datsyuk?
-
As great as it would be to see him back, no thanks. He will be 41, and he probably would only come back to play for a contender anyway.

If anyone has a clip of Rask looking like a fish out of water I would appreciate you posting it up. -
Probably more. They need to get rid of Marleau somehow.

Aside from old contracts I don't really know of any 80 point guys at 6.9. Hes overpaid now but not by a ton. 6 would have been fair, 6.5 is still ok, 6.9 is slightly high

My real question is who is sending you these PMS every year? -
Go back and see if the bear is there again. It should automatically transport to the trapper. I always manually save after getting anything of note, or before a big mission just in case. I finally beat the game it's amazing. I would suggest going back to the snow you can get a white arabian horse that's super fast (look it up) and a legendary bison that's easy to kill and gives you a goofy looking bison viking hat

Gotta go with my boy Howie. We don't have another goaltender in the pipeline who can be a starter. Gus can be replaced, and we have bylsma to replace blash if need be

Ya well most jobs don't pay millions either. And if I could have a guaranteed job for 6 years that's some damn good job security. Also if 8mil was a "starting ask" he would have negotiated and signed already. I don't see a chance in hell of him ever out producing 8mil a year. 6mil maybe, but 8 no way.
-
I'll explain why I'm opposed to lockouts if you wish. Both players and teams are making record money, and the owners have gotten what they wanted out of the last 3 lockouts. I think they should just keep playing and not lock the league out squandering over money they've both been happy with. On your thought process about my clear opinion, I don't believe you understood me properly. I was saying players shouldn't be paid on what they may do in the future. If a guy scores 60 points a year his salary should be based on that. If he believes he's worth more, he should sign a short term deal for what he's worth now and prove he's worth more. Signing these kids to huge contracts right after their ELC has ended is crippling teams caps. I think holding out for months because you think you're worth more than you are is a self entitled millennial attitude (I'm unfortunately a millenial) and it sets a bad precedent If the gm caves to these costly demands.

Clearly those are one and the same...

I am. I cant say I would feel bad if nylander "only" made 6 million at 22 years old. I'd be happy making 100k and I kill my body every day and rarely get a day off. He's getting off an entry level deal. I've said it before and I'll say it again, getting away from bridge deals is going to kill the competitive teams. Handing out big contracts to a guy 2 years into the league was a bad precedent and now these kids want even more than they are worth because they might be worth it later. He should be talking 5 mil to help the team. Then in 3 years negotiate a contract based on what he was worth over the last 3 years. I don't get a raise for something I might do in the future, I get one based off the grouping of work I've done since my last raise, and if I want more I have to work above my pay level now to earn a higher pay level later. Millenials.
