I said between $6-7 and I was right. Everyone was saying no more than $5 Btw it was stated Holland was willing to give 7 years 42 million but they wouldn't give him the chance. The exact offer my "so called source" told me. Actually I was wrong. The original report I saw said he signed a 7 year 42.5 million contract. But it was actually 40.25 do a little less than 6 per. But I was close.

We did have a horrendous season. Barely making it into the playoffs. All the injuries. Goaltending and defense issues. What part of the season was miraculous? Just because nyquist went on an absolute tear in the last half doesn't make it a miraculous season. In fact it shows how bad we were that one (basically rookie) had to carry our team. Holland can talk about us needing that right hand shot on the blue line all he wants. Until he actually does something useful for once he has lost this loyal Holland defenders confidence.

Instead of promoting a young player they 're sign the second worst dman we had last year with a raise. It's not just who we missed out on this year. He's been saying we need a top 4 right handed shot to bolster the blue line for years and has done nothing about it. He talks about the kids and instead gives raises to plugs that are useless.

How many players have to pass on Detroit, how many times do we have to be "in the mix" and end up empty handed? Trying isn't good enough anymore. We felt the price was right for Quincey after literally no one wanted to come here, and I have to say we feel like he's been a real good player for us and he is a big part of our team going forward. Congrats Quincey on getting away with grand theft!!
