He'll be 37 in July not 40, past his prime, yes, but not 40 and he can still bury them
-
I may be mistaken but I thought this year was an "optional" year
-
Look at the population difference though. Compare the population of those 4 cities to the 4 I mentioned and you'll see what I mean. Toronto is the only one that can support two teams. I don't think Quebec can support two teams.

I knew what you meant. The media eats up anything Crosby and they love it

ECSF : (4) Montreal Canadiens vs. (1) Boston Bruins

Good thing the right team won then -
Not by me. Their philosophy of trade all your prospects and picks to win a cup now hasn't worked for them and I never believed that it would
-
Montreal already has a team, to me it wouldn't make all that much sense to put a team right next door in Quebec city, especially since right next door is to that is Ottawa and Toronto, that would be 4 nhl teams in a 4 hour drive, plus if you threw a team to Hamilton, 5 nhl teams in a 5 hour drive. That's too much packed together

Did they fall down high fiving?
-
If that was his start it would be more realistic that we would sign him to a 3 year 15-18 million dollar deal, meaning he would still be a 26 year old rfa and we could lock him up after we see what he brings for 3 more years.

Agreed more melen needed indeed. I just wish all our guys had a little more hampus melen in them.. wait, that sounds wrong and dirty... I like it

Actually he has been playing rw even in grand rapids for some time and his been progressively getting better every year, he was on pace for 28 goals in 60 games in the ahl before coming to Detroit with 7 goals 21 points in 15 games. last year had 23, goals, 60 points in 58 games. Year before 22 goals, 58 points in 56 games. He clearly works hard and strives to be better every year and does what his coach asks of him, and is humble allowing him to better himself. I believe he can be a 30 goal 70 point guy in the nhl solely based on his ability to adapt and change his game, and the fact that he can score from anywhere and has awesome speed.

Don't even speak such words. If Chicago won the cup again this year I would cry -

If lundqvist can be that good against Boston if they win, they could have a shot at the finals. -
Ya but if you see a arena that holds 15,000 people full every night, or one that holds 19,000 at %75-%80 capacity every night l, as an investor who are you going to invest in? I would assume the one that is sold out every game

So Chicago is better but Boston gets a lot of help from the refs? -
Mantha looks better with the beard. That kid has some serious skills

It would be bitter sweet if Minnesota wins. But having Chicago and Pittsburgh eliminated in game 7 on the same night would be wonderful -

Sure he isn't in the top of the league in penalty minutes but a lot of his penalties are for dumb things, agitators get under his skin pretty easy, and in a couple years when he learns to control his emotions a bit better I would love to have him on our team. He has a ton of skill and under the right coach he could become one of the best dmen ever, a coach like babs would teach him to be better defensively, since he has the offensive part down pat. Also there are a few wings who need to mature as well, some take stupid penalties too, Quincey especially, but I reckon he won't be back. -

Subban isn't on our team so I don't have to put up with his immaturity. And I was talking about his on ice maturity, taking stupid penalties and the like. It's my opinion, you don't have to like it, but it's the only thing I have in this world -

If he can learn to behave himself on ice and not get rattled so easily, I would like him too. He's an awesome player, he just has immaturity issues -
This is exactly the truth. People keep ignoring the various posts explaining this exact thing and saying he can't play cause he wasn't in the ahl. It's not true though.

So lundqvist gets a $5000 fine for squirting bettmans love child with water, and the golden boy gets nothing for spearing someone with a stick, makes sense -
Lol not that I want him but when were in the west teams only willing to deal to the east, when were in the east teams only willing to deal to the west
