nope still 9 points any way you slice it, if washington wins out, all we need is 2 more regulation wins and 9 points, that would bring us to 93 points, with 32 row, vs. the caps 93 points with 31 row(if they winn ALL their remaining games in reg/ot) and all others behind them... 9 points is the magic number

Ya if they want wild cards and inter division play, it should be 3 top seeds and two wild cards per division, the two wild cards play a single elimination, or best 2 out of 3, the winner faces the top seed in the division. But hey what do I know I'm just a fan, I don't make millions of dollars to figure these things out...
