Slovenia and Slovakia are gold medal contenders haven't you heard? Lol, Canada plays Finland Sunday, but I guess they don't count either. -

While I agree with this, and I was a big supporter of the Weiss signing, there is a whole lot riding on him becoming who we signed him to be, but if z ends up on ltir, we can keep the kids up and roll 4 dangerous lines, with Weiss, helm, franzen Datsyuk, alfie, nyquist, tats sheahan, and jurco, we could be a force to be reckoned with, shame it has to be on z's back (no pun intended) though...

my point is, if he opted not to play in the olympics THIS year, he would have been able to get some much needed/desered rest for a couple weeks, before the nhl resumed playing games

everything just seems to narrowly and perfectly work out with perfect timing for KH doesn't it

I'm not sure what this means, but he had 23 points in 31 games so far this year, That's on pace for 61 points in a full season, and he was red hot when he was injured, so yes it is a loss.

Datsyuk clearly was injured and not "faking it" like some around here thought, if he isn't even practicing with Russia it's clear that he isn't 100% healthy yet -
