It could be quite conceivable. Z said he would come out flying in the next game and when he started playing poorly, he left after 2 periods and now doesn't know if he is sick of injured. It stands to reason that they could have benched him for poor play. Or he could actually just be in pain and not know if it's just a flu or he's actually injured.

If everyone did, then by theory, no one would be tearing it up. But not too many players get 43 points in 17 games.

That was always my issue with joey mac, he lights it up until the pressure to secure a spot is gone, then he just s***s the bed after that. I like him, but I don't see him being in the nhl anymore unless something changes very soon

You forgot kindl. But filppula didn't seem to want to be here, and after his breakout season he regressed. People would have been rather angry if we gave home 5 years 5 per and would have compared it to the franzen signing, and probably would have said we could have had hossa but we have filppula instead

Defensively were actually fine, the problem comes when you realize we don't have a puck moving defenseman to clear the zone and make that first pass. We can't get the puck out, almqvist should help alleviate that issue a bit.
