This. He wanted to skate with his old pals, he played in Ottawa his whole career it's all he knows. It's not even training camp yet, let him skate around with his buddies, he was a senator for years, I have a shirt I still wear from a job I quit, people blow everything out of proportion sometimes. I guess it's bound to happen in the off season when there's nothing else to do -

I love this signing. For anyone wondering it's a one way contract so chances are very good he won't be in the minors this year. Also if he plays 2 more regular season games he is no longer waiver exempt. So he either starts in grand rapids or he'll be with the wings all year -

I would love for him to be allowed to do what he was signed to do. My point was merely that he is more valuable then others on the team, emmerton, and eaves for sure. Miller can do what eaves does and then some. -

I'm neutral on Bert. He has all the qualities you mentioned and he's a great locker room guy, but he is slow on the ice now and he spent all season injured. So I'll let his performance do the talking this year, and then I'll decide what I think. As for emmerton, he is a serviceable plug, but he isn't overly good at any particular thing. Tootoo is an agitator, that was what he was brought in for and that is what he excels at. -
