Holland made him an offer this morning but no dice yet
-
I wish nill replaced Holland
-
That doesn't work anymore cause of the new cba. It will only lower his cap hit like 100 grand or something
-
Why waste a buyout on a 1.9/year player who will have one year left on his contract? I'd rather him use it on whatever plug he signs this off season for 4 million to replace flip
-
That's all he is looking for? He should have been signed ages ago. The way Kenny is putting this off I figured he wanted 4 mil. 2.5 is a bargain

Canucks trade Schneider to Devils for 9th overall pick

lol, great management in vancouver lmao don't forget the small curly fries as a gesture of good faith -
this is how I feel the negotiations have gone so far this year with kenny and crew... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i6m6bpxkjP4

Because most of those people are not capable of centering a second line, datsyuk and Zetterberg are the only two you listed I would be comfortable with. I would rather have them both in the top line and have a second line center for franzen
-
I support Hollands decisions for the most part, I would not call him a buffoon. I would however say he is willing to play it safe sometimes when he should be taking a bit of a gamble like with Brunner
-
And emdog will be second line center
-
It's sad that Holland will let a guy like this walk when he is willing to 're sign Cleary at 3mil/year
-
Stop circumventing the swear filter, and our current number one need is a second line center
-
We signed him assuming he wouldn't be a child and would play through a sore chest.

Report: Red Wings out on Lecavalier - signs with Philly 5@4.5 per

give me 1/4 of his salary and I will stick around as a "locker room presence" too. Cleary needs to go -
well he will be playing college hockey next year (so no fights) and he will be working on his game a lot more, Babs loves the kid, his only problem is hee takes a lot of penalties, so going to college hockey should fix that and we should see him in 2-3 years

Vancouver needs a backup

62.45 million cap is what they are at with pronger on ltir, bring up your ahl goalie and have him back up your backup goalie... -

If I was rick, I would have no problem retiring on that salary
-
So what you are saying is that the griffins got to the championship basically with no help from the aforementioned players, and that when they came back they did indeed help the griffins win but also they mostly did it without those guys. That being said winning the calder cup is significant, it shows that despite not getting any high picks over the last 20 years our farm team is still excellent and better than any other ahl farm team. That leaves us in a really good spot to replace players as others retire

with a backup goalie, and no other goalie, 7/9 defensemen being paid 3.5 mil/year or more (which is funny cause their defense sucks still) and no real offense either, their team is so far from being anything good it is ridiculous, but hey Vinny, glad you get that payday for another 5 years on top of your buyout, greedy f*** -
A sore pectoral muscle should not even be allowed to be used as an excuse to not be bought out. What a weasel
-
I'm glad a couple people agree with me. One 30 goal season doesn't make him a superstar
-
I'd rather have a proven goal scorer over Clarkson who scored 30 goals one time. Camel puts up at least 60 points almost every year and his lowest goal total not including this half season where he scored 20 in 38 games is 25 goals. For the difference of 1 million between them I'll take vanek any day
