lol funny you mentioned this, I just watched the 10 videos about the playoffs in the west nhl.com has on their homepage, and the only mention of the wings between the blackhawk knob slobbering was to say the hawkks modeled their team after the wings, litterally in that many words, that was our only mention. They brought up st. louis a lot, SJS, Anawhine, blackhawks, minny, and vancouver. But they didn't even mention LA(thankfully) or Detroit. In fact they even had a 6 minute video about the chicago-minny matchup (4minutes about chicago obviously and only 2 for minny)

Federov was my favourite. Growing up I also had his jersey, hell I liked him more than stevie. The problem was he had all the talent in the world, but he got greedy, he just wanted his next big paycheck, and he wanted the "C" so #43 in my books would be retired before #91, so #13 is a no brainer in that regard

well that is great his 2 shutouts in the last 4 games didn't carry the team and franzen, pasha, and z were hot the last 10 games.... what about the 30 games before those that howie stood on his head for us, almost every night, and gave us every chance to win when we couldn't even pot more than 1-2 goals? detroit finished in 20th for g/g with 2.54, and finished in 5th for ga/g with 2.29, god I wish I could see what would happen if howard did "carry" this team all year...

working in a kitchen I am not usually done before 9:30-10:00 so Ii like the start time, and also we make the ducks play like a bunch of whiny girls, so it should be fun to watch getzlaf, perry, selanne, and ryan embarass themselves again

I will probably catch a lot of grief for this, but I have to say looking back on it, this has been one of my favourite seasons in the last 10 years. We as wings fans seem to expect to make the playoffs every year, and anything less is a far cry from reality. Well so far that reality has been setting in as we fight with two other teams for the last 2 spots, something some of us haven't seen, and others not for a while. We all complain that this team has been stagnant for a few years, well this year the wings have gotten, bigger, stronger, faster, and younger. We are rebuilding on the fly with playoff hopes still at hand, and we started the season with a defense that was laughable at best. The controversy, the fight, the will, and the drive are keeping this younger team in contention. This season has been like a true underdog story out of the movies, almost like remember the titans, except the tragedy was Lidstrom retiring. It really has been very infuriating at times to watch, but from start to finish has kept me engaged and on the edge of my seat. Win or lose, I like this younger team (save for Cleary, white, quincey and others at times) and it really has been a blast, so thank you Red Wings for another great season, even if you don't beat Dallas, and we miss the playoffs, as kenny would say, i like our team

lmao, very scientific indeed. The problem was, we had a 1 week training camp, and playing games every other day doesn't leave rrom for practicing much, so it took a while for renney to implement his system in detroit and it finally took and we have been absolutely phenominal on special teams since.
