who cares, he is only signed till he is 40, not 52... he has played 40 games, the last 14 games he has been by far one of our best players, so he "floated" for like 25 games. I couldn't care less cause he still put up points,not nearly the kind of points he has put up in the last 10 games, but the good thing about franzen is he is currently getting really hot just in time for playoffs, and can carry this team a few rounds single handedly

Franzen may "float" but he has not declined production wise yet, in fact ppg this is his best season. Filppula is 4 years younger, and cannot even remotely replicate his numbers from last season. by that effect tootoo should be a top 6er cause he is younger too? this. Everyone complains about how poor he plays in the playoffs, when in reality he didn't. two years ago his post season numbers were better then his regular seasons were, and his post season average isn't too bad. Ya he let in some softies, but he was also solid for us too

the fact that you think Jimmy is not a good goalie and cannot win us games makes me sick. and to say franzen is a bottom 6 player is quite a stretch, I've never seen a bottom 6 30 goal scorer, just saying

I love reading the early comments, like we can't come back from being a goal down, I just love how some people give up so easily on this team when down by 1 goal with over half the game left lol... fun game to watch though! boys showed up and played one of the best 60 minutes I've seen in a long time!

That being said he is right. Do you remember Kronner at the beginning of the season, trying to be #5? It is not his style of play and isn't what got him into the nhl, so it didn't work for him. We need a big shut down defensemen, everyone complains all we have is puck moving offensive defensemen, we land dekeyser, everyone is happy, everyone knows his role is to keep the puck out of our zone as much as possible and get it to the forwards, but now you want him to turn into kronwall? When you start getting more "confident" offensively, you tend to open yourself up defensively, you cannot have it both ways, so I will take his defensive game over his offensive (or lack thereof) game.

The wings have 2 pp goals so far this game, and people aren't happy, nothing makes people on this site happy I guess. The wings could be up 5-0 and people would still find a reason to complain
