"figures into their plans"? hmmm possible trade coming?
-
maybe but it is my opinion. You aren't talking about getting rear ended and being launched 20 feet through a car window into an on-coming semi truck. We are talking about a puck or stick to the face. Yes the risk is there but to compare it to the seatbelt argument is kind of a stretch IMO

Injuries are down, concussions are down, most people are making clean hits now, they have the knowledge. Yes it is much safer then 10 years ago, it may not seem like it because those guys played through injuries, concussions, and any other ailment, it was seen as manly to play through it. More cowardly to nurse an injury

if you take hitting/fighting out then you are left with basketball with a puck. Hockey has becoming much more safe over the years, not the other way around. Look back to when goalies didn't even where masks, hits from behind were not even penalties, you played through concussions and bloody faces. You can't possibly think it is MORE dangerous now

These are grown men, 18+ most over 25. It should be there own decision on whether they wear a visor, if they get injured without one it is their fault. It is like riding a bike, a child should always have a helmet on, but adults should be able to choose if they were one or not, I personally do not like wearing a helmet, but I also don't ride on busy streets, mostly just leisure riding on bike trails. If an adult CHOOSES to put themselves in a position where they could suffer an injury, that is their own problem, not ours, or anyone else's place to dictate what they can or cannot do, just my opinion

if you walk across the street you might get hit by a car and be paralyzed, so should i stay couped up everyday and put guards on all my knives and tape up every sharp object in my house, just to "be safe"? People play hockey because they love the sport, it's tragic when something like this happens, it was a clean hit, it's unfortunate that it ended in tragedy, but that is a risk of a high level, high contact sport like hockey, football, rugby etc... but to say if you play hockey you may get paralyzed so either play or don't is a little naive if you ask me. Running across a freeway is something dumb, and you could be seriously injured or die, running with bulls, same thing, these are things you should base that opinion on, not playing a sport you love.

this. great article, but most fans still have that sour taste in their mouths. I am still of the opinion that we have a 30 goal scorer for 4mil cap hit, so I don't mind it
-
lol! I agree though, I have never been a huge Kindl fan, and I absolutely hated him last year, but he seems be turning it around now with more responsibility, he seems to work well under the pressure of no #5 or #23 (stuart, not lashoff lol)

don't look at bryz's contract to see the wors one in the nhl, look at dipietro lol Fleury and ward are quite questionable to be better then howie, and bryz is not better IMO Dipietro lol
-
i think you will see him quite possibly change the second line, the oilers are a young fast and talented team and we can't have cleary and abby together squaring up against hall, nugent-hopkins, and hemsky I like how Gagne has 25 points without getting 15 or more assists, or 8+ goals, now that is talent
-
makes more sense now, although we have won 2 cups in that time frame
-
the problem with J Bo is that he is too aggressive on the puck, like Kronner, that isn't what we need. We would have to give up a lot for him and his cap hit would kill us, I think we should let someone else take a stab at jbo
-
more likely than not, they will give him a tryout to make the team in training camp, and give him a spot on the team that he will have to "earn"
-
more then likely 4 million range
-
where are these percentages coming from? Plus I comment on most threads, so don't be so vain and think I have some secret crush on you.
-
try border city tickets I buy most of my tickets there, similar to stu hub, just fans selling tickets, and sometimes you can get some great deals. Tickets are guaranteed to be real or the site gives you a full refund, so they are always real lol
-
I've created like 3 threads... the same amount you create daily

don't let me down - the beatles

it's always in my pocket, so nope I never leave home without it the person below me has had a pet snake
-
satellite, you just don't get all that much on cable, and it's more expensive bingo or golf?
-
datsyuk is centering the line, yet in your pairings for some reason you have him on the left wing? I agree with all of this, but it is something being talked about in every thread already pretty much. The line does not work, can't work, and won't work
-
We had a much better team in 99-00, so I guess it can't be that bad if were scoring just as many goals
-
seriously, this is basically the same thread as 5 others, why do you need to start a new thread to talk about the same things?
-
points count as points, 21 points out of a possible 38, is above .500
-
Now you are LITERALLY making up your own stats... howard hasn't been under .500 for most of the year. before the Colorado game he was 8-7-3, which is 19 points out of a possible 36 = above .500, now he is 9-7-3 At age 28? Yes I do. It seems to be no problem for Monster and Mrazek. But I don't have any interest in having this debate when Jimmie has been turning around his game. I still don't think he's the goalie to lead us to a cup. Mrazek played two games, 1 solid game, one not so good game, and monster has started one game, you really were reaching on that one that's a stretch, I would say below average, did you see all those horrible saves he made robbing everyone all night? trade him now please, what a terrible goalie...
