I think you will see lots of scoring forthcoming. We have the firepower, Brunner has look great, Franzen had a few great chances the other night. We were up against some hot goaltenders in Niemi, and Crawford and got robbed a bunch of times. Tatar is really impressing me, and the bottom 6 is regaining it's composure from last year with the additions of tootoo tatar and andersson, I like our team aside from cleary, when flip comes back it should be flip-datsyuk, andersson, and helm is probably a couple weeks out too

it was a shootout... Datsyuk missed, Brunner had Crawford beat but lost control of the puck, and Z didn't take a very good shot. How could we win if our guys couldn't even score on a shootout?

agreed, it's funny, no matter what howie does, he gets the blame. we lose 4-3, he should have made the save, we lose 3-2 he should have made the save, we go to a shootout tied 1-1, he should have had the shutout, so he's garbage because he let one single goal in, against arguably the best current team in the nhl... c'mon

Just so everyone knows, the call on the ice for the hit was 2 minutes for charging... the call had nothing to do with how clean the hit was, what beachwing is referring to is the SJS announcers

lol, I love how you say "Howard let in Kane's" did we magically forget that Crawford let in tatar's? Both goalies made the exact same amount of saves in the game, same sv% and everything, they played just as well as each other, just because we couldn't bury more chances it becomes Howies fault. LOL, Monster has started literally one game, and it was game in which our defense actually played well. I did say in the first 10-15 games. When Mrazek made his first start for us, our D played well in front of him and he played well too, his second start he made a lot of mistakes and got scored on 3 times, he only had two starts. I will once again refer you to Quick's numbers through the first 13 games...

this thread is a ridiculous attempt to play gm. a month ago, we didn't need offense, we needed to buy out and trade 4 of our defensemen for yandle and bouwmeester. Now the same d-core is fine and we need to magically get 3 power forwards (for whatever reason) Everytime this team doesn't perform exactly the way the LGW executive gm's want, they sell off the whole farm and the milk, to bring in a horse. Our offense is fine, we had a lot of great opportunities today, but we hit a hot goalie, Zetterberg has seemingly hit a bit of a rut, but he'll be fine. My only concern is moving abby and cleary of the second line, I'd rather have anyone else up there, literally anyone, even Gustavsson would do a better job on datsyuk's wing...

Did I compare Howard to Brodeur, Roy, and Hasek? No, I merely stated that no matter how "elite" a goalie is they are still subject to bad games if the team in front does not play well. You really think Brodeur, Roy, Hasek, or ozzie would have had a 1.95 gaa and a .935 sv% on our team through the first 10-15 games? I don't, and Brodeur, Roy, and Hasek were/are better goalies
