This. I don't get it either, he works his a** off every shift he is on the ice, and he puts pucks in the net, some people are never happy though

I agree, how could anyone coming from Europe making peanuts be able to survive on $3.5 million a year? I myself need at least $4 million just to make ends meat

With Bettman in control the division names would be; Sidney Crosby Golden Child man love ilovecrosbysomuch -
i think it would make more sense for Ryan Miller to have one lol

Maybe I was a tad over zealous but you have to admit Mac has been very inconsistent as a backup for us, I wish him the best in Calgary, I like the guy and wish that he hadn't started slipping when Jimmy came back, but in reality with a short season they couldn't afford to risk the inconsistency of his play in big games, too bad Gustavsson can't stay healthy. In all fairness, most of the people who are injured have had a history of injuries before even coming here, Sammy, Gustavsson, Bert (has had back issues since before he came to detroit), and the most obvious one, Colaiacovo. Smith's injury was not because of bad conditioning, and Helm hasn't fully recovered from last year, hell even Sammy's injury the second time wasn't anyones fault, broken fingers are not bad conditioning just bad luck

agreed, I was actually expecting Kronwall to take a big step forward coming into the season to prove he could be our #1. It was tough to see him struggle like that cause I really like Kronner, but it's awesome to see him regaining form, so now I don't have to complain about him keep it up 55

I think it's cool, aside from yoda's red lightsaber. I don'tget why everyone bashes Bryz though, he isn't the leagues best goaltender but he isn't all that bad either, he just has an awful defense to work with, not his fault really, he did great overseas though
-
I know he was hurt, but babs kept shuffling the pairings around even after rig came back, so they didn't get a good chance to regain old form together, now they seem to be doing well and hopefully babs doesn't mess with what is working.

While I partially agree with this sentiment you have to remember Brunner has already played 52 games between EV Zug and the wings, in another 29 games he will have played 81 games total. I agree EV Zug is not in a super physical or as fast of a league, but it will be a good indication of his stamina going forward

Signed Wings sign (D) Brian Lashoff to 3-year, $2.175m extension

says a lot more for the fact that it's a good defensive pairing, hence why they played together last year. They have good chemistry together, I thought they should have been together from the start. Ericsson and Kronner compliment each others style nicely
-
they had mac signed and picked up conks to back up jimmy, the only reason he had a chance to beat out conks was because jimmy got injured. After jimmy came back mac settled down and didn't play that well. Conks was garbage and couldn't stop a beach ball last year, but you have illusions of grandeur about how good mac really is, he is a decent back up, but not very consistent, which is why we didn't hang on to him

I don't want to get my hopes up, but it seems as though Renney is turning our pp around
-
If Cleary has indeed managed to get his act together, albeit after 19 games then I have no complaints. We can't afford to have guys in the top 6 that can't produce
-
Sorry, I thought you said an NHL capable goalie, that also wanted to be traded. Didn't realize you meant the guy that could barely beat out conks for a backup spot last year... edit: he's also injured just as much as gus

I noticed that too, I have been saying it all week, even in the Columbus and Nashville games we lost I thought he played better. I think he is finally figuring out life without Nick, and it had to be Kronwall's version of a #1 dman, he was trying to be Nick and that didn't work, now he is being Kronwall but more responsible defensively and it really seems to be working for him now, i like it. Keep it up Kronner
-
Well he's playing better then Ericsson did starting out, and look how good he is now. I have faith Lashoff will develop into a reliable top 4 dman and he can even chip in a few goals too

Kronwall destroyed a glass bowl on my desk with the power of his goal

Kronner was *explosive* last night -
Don't you know potential stars in detroit will take a huge paycut, crosby ovechkin and malkin all tried to get the wings to sign them for 3 mil each... kenny said no... *sigh* people undervalue people like brunner on our team while we pay guys like quincey 3.75 per. Brunner will get 4.5 per
