I agree with you on most points, but I wouldn't say the "best" teams are in the east, definitely the bigger teams though. Detroit being in the East would be so much better though for a few reasons, travel would not be nearly as bad. We would get to see detroit and toronto as lot more, which is always fun to watch, and then we would have teams like forida, tampa and buffalo to beat, and we can embarrass ryan miller a lot more often, and drew miller can brag at family parties aboutt how he always embarrasses his brother on the ice

Ya it was a bad goal, and Jimmy did have a bit of an off night, but how many turnovers did we give up in front of our net that he bailed us out on? Don't just look at the goals guys, look at the saves, our defense couldn't stop a basketball if they wanted to, they turn pucks over more times a game then the leafs organization has made bad decisions in the last 10 years. I just hate how everyone always turns to blaming the goalie when we lose

It obviously means it's not a coaching issue, think about it, every year we get different coaches, and every year our pp/pk are bad... ergo it's a player issue more then a coaching issue

What makes you think Perry or Getzlaf wouldn't want to sign with us? Just because Suter and Parise chose to sign with a team near their family, all of a sudden everyone is in panic mode and thinks no one wants to play for the wings anymore. Most players talk very highly of the red wings organization, and still consider them to be one of the better teams in the league currently. Perry and Getzlaf would be dumb not to sign, and have the opportunity to play along side future hof'ers like Datsyuk and Zetterberg. We take care of our players here, and don't just kick them to the curb at the first sign of trouble, most players like that. I would have to say I like our chances of getting Perry/Getzlaf, and we will have the cap room to do it, and Kenny won't be afraid to spend to the cap to get them.

I really don't think so, it's time to drop the junk, kindl, quincey, white, cleary, mursak, can all go. bring up a defender from gr for the time being, until you work out a trade for a top pairing dman, and then sign perry or getzlaf in the offseason.

Well I get home from work put the game on, See Brunner and Flip get two early goals, get all excited that they are playing well, may as well have fell asleep for an hour, and then blam watch the wings blow ANOTHER 2 goal lead... What happened to our pp, there is no way it's this bad for real. 3:51 power play, with a 9 second 5 on 3, and we still can't score on Bobrovski, how do the wings let the Jackets walk all over them. They have a much better team than Columbus, ffs they can't even string together a couple decent periods against the leagues worst team? 5 straight losses boys, keep up the good work!!
