The problem with that is now you let a great goalie walk, and you suddenly have to score an extra 2 goals a night to get the win, decent goalie = 3 gaa. Howie is a 2gaa typpe goalie, pay him 5mil if thats the proverbial hill he'll die on (thanks for that quote bettman )

You sir are wrong, we have a new weapon come playoff time in Brunner, who likes to shoot, and is damn good at scoring. We have a young defense that is finally starting to click and is learning how to shut teams out. We have more grit then the last three years with tootoo. With Franzen playing the way he has thus far, I would not be surprised to see him play in the playoffs the way he did in 08'. This team is different in many ways then it was last year.

I agree 100% whether or not they get on the scoresheet, Zetterberg and Datsyuk ALWAYS make an impact on the game.

Maybe Z hasn't gotten a goal in 5 games, but he still has 6 assists in those 5 games, nothing wrong with that. As for Marleau and Thornton, as you pointed out haven't even gotten a single point in their last 5 games, so I will still take Z over either of those goons

until monster is healthy, Mrazek backs up howie. We can't have a guy like McCollum losing games for us in this shortened season, and JMac was injured so we had to bring up Mrazek, he played awesome for us and gave Jimmy a much needed break. Holland and Babs obviously felt he was a better choice to back up howie than JMac who has been injured almost a year now and hasn't played a game in that time. I think it's good he will get a chance to see some playing time in the NHL, and I hope Monster gets well soon, as of right now, I am very happy with Mrazek backing up Howie

Quick, Price, and Fleury are in no stretch of any imiganition better than Jimmy. Miller hasn't been good in about 2-3 years. Cam ward? Please. Even Luo has been very inconsistent over his career, but I'll leave that one up there for arguments sake. so 6 goalis I deem as good or better on your list, puts jimmy #7. I will take that
