I've actually been looking around a few other wings forums, and I think most people are starting to hate Holland. It isn't his fault Bettman has created a forced parity in the league, he has done as good a job as any gm with what he has to work with. People are going as far as putting pictures of holland with a target on his face as their profile picture, and the caption saying HOLLAND SUCKS. I say give him another season to see if he can turn this team around, He brought us a lot of success in the past.

Franzen has more talent than Hossa, but is way too lazy, Hossa is a better two way player, but at the time we were looking more for a power forward than a sniper, Franzen fit the bill

Well, I missed the majority of the game, I worked until 10pm. I did catch the end and watched highlights. It seemed as though as bad as our defense was (which seems to be taking all the blame) what happened to our offense in this mess? We only had 14 shots, I love the wings and all but when was the last time we got less than 20 shots in a game? We are known for shooting a lot, and we just didn't shoot the puck enough, which is why we got shut out, Halak didn't even break a sweat.

This is a tired argument... Hossa would not make our team that much better than Franzen. Plus he isn't nearly as good in the playoffs

Again I am giving them the benefit of the doubt, as I said this might happen (although I didn't think it would be a huge blowout) not making excuses, but all of our lines are different this year, especially our d, so my main conceren would be dropping Quincey down to third pairing and bringing White up. Everyone is going on about how bad they played... Every team played bad tonight, Vancouver lost 7-3 to anaheim, the kings lost 5-2 to chicago, tampa beat washington 6-3. I knew the first few games would be bad, we have new lines that need to develop chemistry, and everyone is pretty rusty. Don't count the wings out, there was a bright spot of the game though... that it ended lol

Just a thought, I noticed he still hasn't signed a contract. The devils have said they might be interested, as did the rangers. I think he would be an awesome signing, than we can put him on the second line and waive sammy goodbye. He is 36 but still a proven 20+ goal scorer, which we could certainly use. Just my opinion, would love to hear yours. Plus there is the addition of how cheap he comes, we could probably get him for less than we payed for sammy
