Teams Must Comply with 23man Roster Limit by Tomorrow

We always have Mrazek if need be

    Kronwall IS a #1 Dman

Ok you're right I will conceive to Bourque, also I bring Vladdy up because he was poised to be better than Lidstrom before the accident

GM Ken Holland says Red Wings might not make playoffs this year

Babcocks too. Simple truth is babs hasn't gotten them past 2nd round in 3 years, last year we had a first round loss. Holland and babs should be a bit worried, even with their proven track records. I do however (unlike holland) have faith we will not only make the playoffs, but have home ice in them too

    Kronwall IS a #1 Dman

Yes seriously, Konstantinov was almost as good, if not just as good as Lidstrom. He played differently but he was certainly elite. and chara and pronger aren't nearly as good either. I mentioned Letang only because someone else had mentioned Letang

you're right about him not playing on gr, but as being part of our roster you are mistaken. He is not on our roster atm

Where are you getting MacDonald from? He is on GR and does not affect our roster. Also don't be surprised if Mursak gets put on waivers and shipped to GR when Eaves is off LTIR

    Kronwall IS a #1 Dman

A bit easier? Lidstrom at 40 was better than weber at 26, Chara in his prime, suter, pietrangelo, letang, and so on. The only player in the last 20 years who even compared to him was Vladdy, and unfortunately negligence stole him from us. no one can replace lids, not in his prime, not at 40, not ever.

Our Roster is at 23. If you looked at capgeek to get those numbers than you didn't look hard. Holmstrom is retiring officially today or tomorrow. Nyquist is starting in GR, that leaves us with 14 forwards, and 7 dmen, and 2 goalies = 23

Would it upset you more if I told you I have a 55" LED tv, and a 60" LED tv?

    Wings Looking For Defenseman

I am the one who keeps saying how great Big Rig was the last 2/3 of the season, he definitely did step up last year. I know Smith will be great too, the problem I have with our defense is Kindl. The kid is a liability everytime he touches the puck, hell he's a liability being on the ice in general. If Colo cannot stay healthy, mark my works our D is in trouble! He may be 6'3" 215lbs, but he doesn't use his size to his advantage at all, he doesn't shut down lanes, he doesn't get physical, he just goes out there and skates around for 30-40 seconds and goes back and sits down

    Half Season Predictions 2013

Sorry, I should have clarified what I meant by that my fault. I meant I'm not sure if it is 25 games for this 48 game season for any upcoming rookies that play. As long as smith plays at least 6 games (which he most likely play all 48 unless he gets injured) he will not be a rookie next year, and I know last season doesn't matter because he only played 14.

Who in their right mind would steal Kindl on waivers?
  14. lol ok, makes more sense now

    Half Season Predictions 2013

Yes, he would have to play a minimum 25 games (not sure if it's less for a 48 game season) or 6 games in two consecutive seasons. Smith has done neither, Smith for Calder!!

    Congrats, John

I hated him 2 years ago, but the last 2/3 of the season last year he was much better. I even found him more reliable than Stuart
  17. Euro_Twins

    Congrats, John

Big Rig will be paired with Kronner on 1st line D. Smith and Quincey will be 2nd pair, while White and Colo/Kindl take the third tier

Visnovsky "looks forward" to reporting to Isles

He is suddenly interested? Yes that should convince your teammates and Isles fans that you weren't fighting tooth and nail to go back on your contract... Also in other news Leafs will make the playoffs this year, and Columbus too!

    Wade Redden

Normally I would say no to this. But the fact that Colo is injury prone and Kindl has proved year after year he shouldn't be in the nhl, we need a third line dman to replace any injuries, our defensive coore really isn't that bad, but it is stretched thin, with only kindl to provide relief to any fatigued players, which again I do not like. I say sign him to a 2-way deal worth 800,000

    Brunner's nickname

Yes it may be different leagues, and as someone else posted they is an age difference of a few years between there nhl starts. My point was that Brunner put up very good stats, which were better than Z's stats in what I believe to be roughly the same caliber league. So yes it is quite possible to transfer that to the nhl. Now WILL he? That is something we will find out, but as for is it possible? Yes it is possible, especially for a player of his skill level. He is very sneaky too and loves to drive the net and he is a sniper.

    Half Season Predictions 2013

I highly doubt blackhawks at #1 in central... They have a good team but are seriously lacking a few pieces, starting with goaltending and forwards

    Wings Looking For Defenseman

You misread me... Our prospects are very good, the problem is they are just that, prospects. No one in their right mind is going to trade away their best forward and #2 dman for a couple draft picks and kindl, and two "unproven" prospects... especially the kindl part and emmerton

    Brunner's nickname

    to answer your question simply... yes. Look at Z's stats before he came to detroit and his first 2 years here, and his stats were not nearly as great as Brunners are. 98-99 TMRA IK-Sweden -2 37games 15 g 13a 28points 99-00 " " 32 games 20g 14a 34 points 2000-01 TMRA IK-Sweden 47 Games 15g 31a 46 points 01-02 " " 48 Games 10g 22a 32 points 02-03 Red Wings 79 games 22g 22a 44 points 03-04 Red wings 68 games 15g 28a 43 points Let's look at Brunners stats over the past 3 years 2010-2011 EV Zug Swiss 40 games 19g 27a 46 points 2011-2012 EV Zug Swiss 45 games 24g 36a 60 points 2012-2013 EV Zug Swiss 33 games 25g 32a 57 points Edit: Mod please delete my prior post it came up all screwed up, and I didn't think it actually posted
