I don't even have a twitter because I think it is dumb. Most relevant sports related posts on twitter get posted here anyways, so i am cool with that

I hope that to be true, I would hate if it was to cancel the season (which by the sounds of it, is not the case) seems like they were pretty much in agreement about everything aside from contract lengths in their proposals tonight. If they cancelled a season because of contract length I would murder someone lol.

I am really hoping this is true, although the post above yours says that talks are not looking good. So in reality we won't know until THEY want us to...

NHL Officially Cancels 2013 Winter Classic

It is always up and down, honestly it is luck of the draw, one day it might be worth .97 and the next day it is worth 1.02.

Yes, it has been 80 days missed by the way. Which by the time NHL starts would be like 90, and that would be the end of march. I am not going to buy tickets to the playoffs or seasons end either because they made me suffer, and if I don't go to regular season games I won't go to playoffs either.

This is the most surprising post I have seen since the lockout began, Jacobs is the most helpful towards the players? This is a sick joke, there is no deal to be made they are just messing with us lol. Seriously though, if they do not get a deal done from this, the season will be cancelled, guaranteed. This is make it or break it time. On a side note I refuse to purchase any merchandise, and tickets for as long as this lockout has lasted. So far they have lost my money for the rest of the season

I didn't realize that, I had some optimism about what it could be, but that will have to wait I guess lol

Great news, hard not to be optimistic about this (though I have been optimistic before) meeting again in the morning can only be good though. Don't know why it didn't post this and only posted the quotes as I had written this before lol

Illitch announces plan to build new arena

as long as i don't have to wait around the corner for the bathroom, and I can see the ice clearly from any seat in the house, I don't care what arena I am in.

Sorry, I meant the team, the hard working people of the surrounding businesses, arena employees, and others affected by this have my sympathy.

You should get a job in the media, you could cover the CBA since you are good at misrepresenting information. See the difference is the NHLPA has already agreed to go from 57% to 50% share of HRR. The only thing the league has given anything on are very minor issues. So yes Fehr is standing strong, so the players do not lose more than what they already have. He wants current contracts honored, and RFA length and entry level lengths to stay the same. What is so unreasonable about that after agreeing to a %12 decrease in HRR (assuming HRR definitions stay the same)

I agree we should be pro hockey, I just do not agree with Bettman's bargaining tactics, and his my way or the highway attitude. I like the fact that Fehr is standing strong for the players. Now do I think this lockout is stupid and pointless? Of course I do, both sides are being greedy, this should have been the easiest CBA ever, but I fall more on favouring the players here. They were guaranteed these contracts, now the owners are crying that they signed them. Go fly a kite Bettman!

im going to take a nap wake me up when they strike a deal. I am tired of reading all this crap about how they cannot resolve what should have been the easiest CBA negotiation ever!

I just like the fact that some of the owners are coming out (anonymously of course), and saying that they are not all that concerned about contract issues, and just want a deal signed. I don't see why owners care so much much about the contract issues, if you want to sign a guy for only 5 years, then do that. Give a little bit and make it 8-10 year max signings with either 10% max variance, or 5 year with no variance. Not many teams would sign a guy for 10 million for 3 years then 2 million for 2 years... seems ridiculous what the owners are asking, if you ask me. (we seriously need a banging head off a wall smiley, just sayin...)

I am on here to discuss the lockout, no disrespect to you or the moderator, but shouldn't this be a private conversation? Also a word to the wise, if the moderator says to stop talking/answering him (repeated times) it is wise to obey. Anyways it appears this lockout is going to continue to carry on, just when I started to believe they were gaining some traction, holding secret meetings, every day all week. Then the nosey ass media has to track them down, and all of a sudden magically everything goes down the pipes... disgusting
