Lashoff's getting a lot of love and I think almost every bit of it is deserved. But he's had a few moments where he just flat out lost his mind and forgot where to be, or just got burnt by a quick agile forward. It's rare though and it hasn't hurt him too much yet. These are rookie bumps obviously but he's not perfect. I almost would rather have Lashoff go back to the AHL for a little more polish. Bring up Smith in his place and when Cola comes back, sit Kindl. Try as we might Kindl doesn't fit in here. It's sad but he's just not working. If he plays, play him as trade bait. Before his value is nothing.

Funny considering 2 of their 3 goals were a direct result of blatant interference. That little pick play behind the net is something they've done and gotten away with for about 4 years now. This league is full of stuff like this-allowing certain teams or players to bend the rules while no one else can. Pronger could cross check anyone he wanted, Pittsburgh can clutch and hold with no calls, SJ dives like they're going for gold, The Sedins can run pick plays and no one calls it because it's just their thing.

This thread's gotten ridiculous. When we choose to hate a player, he has no chance. He'll have to perform at an MVP level to shift the hate to someone else. What the mods here either refuse to acknowledge or don't realize is these attitudes always grow from the same few doom and gloom depression cases. And we all know who they are. And remember folks, these refs are infallible. They're protected by the league and no one is to question them, lest they receive a hefty fine. We've got refs who flat out miss the most obvious calls. We've got refs who admit to hating a city and ref their games consistently and make terrible calls while doing it. We've got officials who constantly favor one team or another in big scenarios. We've got make-up calls, reputation calls and all kinds of bulls***. And we can't even review this crap. The credibility of hockey to me has taken a small dive every year. Last year watching LA get away with murder against PHO almost killed my interest permanently.

The only people who truly believe Holland isn't what he is are the ones who have spent too long thinking or talking about it and eventually moved on from yeah he's good, to man he's an idiot. Bingo bango. The play is perfectly clean and normal up until that wee little heel kick. I still don't get what else he could've been attempting. Jamming the bottom of his skate blade half a foot high into the boards for no reason? I see a lot of plays where guys get pinned, I don't see where that heel kick was necessary. Like I said I don't think he meant to almost completely lacerate his tendon but people like him, when they have a millisecond to make a decision, sometimes opt to take a stealthy little shot at a guy thinking it'll give him a slight advantage and nothing else will happen. The more I watch it the more I realize the whole "losing his balance" excuse is a laughable fairytale at best. He was perfectly in control in a fight for the puck, and was coming to a stop. He could've just pinned him into the boards with his knee going forward and after that his skate coming down normally like anyone else does. If he would've just brought his foot down normally and it came down on Karlsson I wouldn't have a problem.

Depends on how hard we want to work. I don't know how often we lose a lead when we're really skating hard and playing smart, which we're perfectly capable of.

I find it mind boggling as well that some people are convinced it's not possible.
