So add a forward that struggles to put up points, and trade forwards that put up the few points the team gets (assuming to land two of those would take Tatar and Nyquist). I feel like doing this would make the team worse. Unless you're suggesting we tank? -
Clarkson had career highs before he signed a massive contract. And as far as Clowe goes, he had 26 points in 43 games in the shortened season then got a concussion early in the next season which he couldn't come back from.

Please Kenny, stay away from the 2nd tier free agents. They'll all be overpaid busts on this team. -
He's being paid over $5M a year for a long time and hasn't produced more than 30 pts since the 2011-2012 season. How is a captain underperforming like that suppose to go in a locker room and tell other people they need to step up? He's not a former legend past his prime. The captain doesn't have to be your best player but you can't have one like that.

Doubt it'll happen but the Wings should look into adding Scott Luce to scouting. He was just fired by the Panthers and he seemed to do a pretty decent job while he was there.

It seems everyone that gets out of that system improves offensively. It's a little irritating.

I've been a Wings fan and a Sharks fan ever since I was a kid. I don't mind the Blue so much anymore, but I absolutely cannot stand the Penguins and I don't really have an opinion on the Lightning except they've knocked us out twice now so I'd like to see them lose. I love how San Jose plays, they're a lot of fun to watch. Much more fun than how the Wings have played this year. They aren't soft and know how to put the puck in the net more than once a game. -

I like that roster. However I'd like to see some combination of Nyquist/Jurco/D prospect(s)/pick traded for a top defenseman and add a physical 4th liner whether that's from the Griffins or outside. Kinda like this: Tatar-Stamkos-Mantha Radulov-Larkin-Athanasiou Zetterberg-Sheahan-Abdelkader Miller-Glendening- *Physical 4th line acquisition Dekeyser- *#1 defenseman (I'm hoping Trouba) Green-Smith Kronwall-Marchenko/Sproul Mrazek Enroth -
Is Callahan just pretty much being written off as making it now? I don't follow the Griffins as well as I should, so I genuinely don't know.

Blues need to put this away in the frist OT while they have them on their heels. I'd hate to let the Hawks get an intermission to rest. -
In fact, a goal got taken away from the Wings because this all-star was offsides. Like I said before, they can't have 18 two way forwards, you need a balance. Can't win games if all you do is play defense. That's just playing to not lose, it's boring and it doesn't work.

Unreal. Are these old farts drinking on the job? Why on earth would you throw one of your top prospects under the bus like that? Did Mantha get with his daughter? A lot of these guys are gonna wind up playing next year and he certainly gives us a better chance to win now than Andersson. Not everyone on this team can be a two way player that sacrifices offense to play D. The team needs someone that can score goals and they need it bad.

Ericsson. The guy is overpaid. Not sure there'd be any takers. Then next year KFQ and Richards are off the books. That's over $10M in space with those 3. -

I thought it was mentioned by Holland and Blashill that one of the things they brought Richards in for was he can quarterback a PP just like Green? That'd make me think they're both going to be on different PP lines. I do like the lines you have there, though. -

Glad to see he went back. They really love him there, and also means they fleeced the Hawks 1st rounder and a D prospect for a guy that they get back anyways. Perfect!
