I always thought that Tavares was just a good player on a bad team, and got way to much credit since he played with a bunch of schleps. But this Tavares guy is pretty much the best player in this series.

A name nobody has mentioned is Viktor Stalberg. I would take him in a heartbeat...

Jurco is one of those kind of guys that it takes a year or two for him to adapt to new/better competition.

Mantha is currently moving up draft boards per a couple sites. I know the yotes seem to like him per their website. Hopefully big Fred or Zykov will still be available if he is gone... Lefty- Pulock seems to be dropping he may be there. Is he still your pick over the three forwards mentioned?

I don't know why people think Holland won't use his buyouts. Colo is gone, especially since there isn't a long term relationship with him. Sammy could be axed as well, more unlikely but still possible.

My wishlist in order would be: Mantha, Gauthier, Zykov. If all three are gone then a trade down or Domi. I have a fear that Lehkonen will be the pick. Maybe it's just my cynical side telling me we will take another small euro.

He would be the second defenseman taken in this draft behind Seth Jones. Top 15 would be pretty accurate.

In a normal draft he would be a top 5 pick. He has flown under the radar, and think that he will probably be gone before 17-20. unless there is a run on defenseman.

I'm not a Hagg fan at all, and definitely don't think we need another young defender. We need offensive production since we have aging stars.

I don't agree with your take on Domi, but you have been spot on, imo, with everything else. Domi is a scorer, tho undersized is scrappy. I think Marchand is a nice comparison for Domi. I was actually thinking who Rychel would compare to, and props to you sir that is absolutely a perfect example. I don't think Kerby Rychel would be a terrible choice, lest we forget Cleary was pretty good in his prime for us. However I like Zykov if Mantha and Gauthier are gone. It may be a stretch in the mid 1st but he won't be there in the second round when we pick. He is a diamond in the rough imo.

Right because getting hit in the face with a puck, and breaking your arm makes you injury prone Smh... It's not like it's a bad back, hamstring, groin, or ankle/knee problems. I agree with you. This is purely a panic move to get a roster player to try and make a playoff push to save his job. You would have thought he could have done a lot better.

Barrabas- I think it has to do with more factors than just typical Holland bashing, or no acquisitions today. The team struggling more this year, the Olsen twin marriage, retread signings, and the status quo comments by Holland all added up to the perfect storm today. I am critical of Holland at times because it's not in my personality to rest on past laurels. However seeing what Feaster did this week, along with Dallas as two examples make me thankful for Holland. I'm greedy tho and I want more cup parades, not just playoff appearances if that makes sense...
