I think it's just slower than people expected, but not really unusual. I've watched most of the games and he just looks like a young kid not used to playing with big boys at the moment. You can still see the upside pretty evidently IMO. I'm not concerned yet, I'll re-evaluate my opinion later in the season once he gets plenty more looks.

Not sure, but I'm willing to guess it either had to do with: Seguin's late reaction to getting back down ice, or him taking the the wrong post once he got there and allowing Abby to stuff it in. Combine that with Spezza's frustration of losing the draw pretty clean and I get the emotion, however, is it really worth making a scene over, no matter how small? Save it for the locker room, away from the cameras and Mickey's ears.

Not sure it's a sweet idea for Spezza to be arguing with Dallas' star player. Especially if it's over a defensive play. Spezza ain't exactly a defensive stalwart himself.

Is Blashill the entire reason for this team's mediocrity? Most certainly not. My current issue with him is that the team looks like they have no idea how to actually play a structured game and are wholly unprepared each night. Is that his fault? I don't know, but someone has to be held accountable and since he's the head coach and It's allegedly his job to implement structure and prepare the team.... well it's a results driven business. Losing is fine, losing spectacularly with no signs of progression isn't. I don't care if he screams and gets angry at the guys for not competing hard, I don't care if he's a good coach or a bad coach. I simply care about if he's the right coach for this current team, and I have my doubts. I, like some others here, am concerned that we're establishing a culture of losing that no amount of first round picks can save us from for many, many years. Being Edmonton or the Yotes is the nightmare, folks, and I'm concerned we're trending that way. SAD GOKU

Smith had a lot of talent but it was coupled with a peanut sized brain for hockey. By most accounts Cholowski has good sense and a high hockey IQ, I ain't worried.

This. Huge fan of Sulak and that insane north-south skating, but the guy is a disaster in his own end IMO. I think his ability to rush up the ice and his knack for closing gaps quickly in the neutral zone mask this fact for some folks.

Agree with the bolded, thought he looked pretty good. As far as him staying in the lineup I just find myself asking "what's the point?" Might as well let one of the young guys try and surprise us with improvement than try and develop Witkowski's zero upside.

I was at the game last night, that assist Zadina got was the result of a really good backcheck. That was the only positive thing I took away, Griffins are on the struggle bus right now. I have a feeling Lashoff returning and the addition of Sulak will be a pretty big help though.

Pretty bummed about Svechnikov. I know a lot of folks aren't high on him, but I was looking forward to seeing the kind of year he had (hopefully seeing him surprise people). Also, Witkowski. That guy never needs to be in the lineup IMO.
