Watching that Larkin highlight video has me feeling so hyped for hockey to start. Athanasiou, Mantha, Larkin, Rasmussen, etc. etc. Just so excited to see what everyone's going to do this year.

Agreed, whether I'm happy about it or not I see Blash being extended. I don't have that much faith in Bylsma as a head coach anyway, though I'm glad to have him on board as an assistant.

I agree, but I think AA has a really high ceiling. I'm excited to see what he'll do this year, may have to shorten that list.

I'm not down on AA or anything and absolutely like his ceiling, but yes give me a healthy Franzen. I miss that guy.

I'm completely uncertain on this, but I seem to recall Hudler having some health problem that sidelined him. I can't remember if this is before or after the peeing on a plane incident, though. If before, I'd assume nobody wanted to sign a guy who pee'd on an airplane while demanding cocaine.

Folks still advocate tanking? Yeesh. The point has been brought up a million times so I'll be brief, you don't just throw your young guns to the fire and watch them burn. The Oilers have taught us this.

It's 1 year, I can live with it. He's still a productive player, I was a big fan of his last time he was with us. I'll only be upset if It's obvious that he's a direct reason a young'un doesn't make the team, but I'll reserve my frustration for then. I also appreciate players that seem like they really want to be here and aren't just giving me lip service. Like with Green, It's been reported for a while now that he enjoys it here and playing for the Wings. I feel the same about Vanek, though obviously that's just me.

This is exactly my thought. I think we'll see him play this season out then hang em up, which I'll be okay with. He's still a productive player obviously, but I imagine it's not easy playing with a chronic back issue.

This is my feeling and concern as well. If everything points to Zadina being ready, which so far that seems to be what most people think, he should be on the team. If he's not because "there's no room and that's just how the numbers work out sometimes", I'll be pretty annoyed.
