This might sound crazy but I don't think not enjoying ties makes one an imbecile. I hate the shootout, but I also despise anything unfinished. 3 on 3 may be gimmicky, but it's at least an improvement on the shootout as it still at least requires some team work.

While I agree to an extent, if Howard let in a bad goal early in the game against the Pens the team could've played drastically different. There's really no point or good way to discuss/argue "if" scenarios like this. With that said Howard's not so stellar play lately is also being amplified by bad D. It's really on both him and the team. He's not bailing them out with a timely save but at the same time he's being left out to dry.

Agreed. It's nice the offense has been able to capitalize but Mrazek deserves some credit here for stopping some extremely high quality chances. -

This. I want him on the fourth line not because I hate him on the first, but because he makes the fourth so much better. There was one point where I thought we had an incredible fourth line when I watched them match up against other teams', now I cringe whenever they're out there. -
I actually really feel bad for Franzen. My opinion of him constantly changes when he's in the lineup because at times I love him for his consistency with point totals on a yearly basis and then during some games I'm slightly frustrated with how little effort it appears he puts in. Wish him the best though, I couldn't imagine having constant concussion symptoms, sounds like a nightmare and actually makes me nervous for him if/when he returns.
