Leafs should come hard tonight, gotta play a full 60 minutes. Going to be a lot of Leafs fans in attendance. And hopefully Weiss can show something tonight. Hate to see 5 million dollars just sitting around and not playing.

He's out for the weekend. They're saying he can be back sometime next week. It's been about a month since he got injured. He's been skating and shooting the puck but no contact yet. He should be back soon.

I think the "Hockeytown" should be removed from center ice very soon if these empty seats keep popping up like this. Sorry but this is embarrassing.

There are still 460 seats available for tonight's game on Stubhub. And most of them are lower bowl seats. So get ready for some empty seats on national TV.

Seats will be empty when your team sucks. But a mixture of a bad team and not being in a hockey market is a disaster. I saw that FLA-OTT game last night and it was BAD. Honestly though, Wings have had their share of attendance problems too. Not as bad as Florida but there are some nights the empty seats are kind of embarrassing. The other night against Anaheim was one of those nights.

He had his stick on Kronwall's glove. Doesn't matter if his hook contributed to the fall. That was hooking, not tripping.

I live 30 minutes away from the Joe. I go to about 10 games a year. I'm not there tonight but there should be enough Wings fans in the metro Detroit area to fill the Joe on a steady basis. On a Saturday night is not be a complete sell out is sad.

That's completely embarrassing. It's the second game of the season, on a Saturday night. Just came off a big win against Boston and to see the Joe half full is terrible.

I can barely focus on the game with all of those empty seats on a Saturday night, wow! That's embarrassing.

Jeez, those empty seats are BRUTAL.

There should be NO reason to struggle to score goals this year. The defense could be shaky but our offense (if healthy) shouldn't have a problem scoring goals. I'm thinking Tatar could have a bigger year than Nyquist. Boston has most of their guys out there and Wings are playing all the youngsters.

Looks like the Tigers rubbed off on the Red Wings today.

Only preseason but this is pathetic. Horrible last couple games.

And of course Tatar doesn't get hurt on the actual cross check but gets kneed in the head by the ref....lol. Our bad luck is amazing. I wish we had a tough guy, someone needs to knock Comeau's head off. Bad game all around, no breaks. It's only pre-season anyway.

Weiss has been invisible! Last two games I've watched he's looked bad. They couldn't get any bounces tonight though. Fleury was good early on and has locked it down since. Kind of discouraging though, because most of our top forwards are out there.

Jensen looks really good so far.

October is gonna be tough. Without Datsyuk too, oh boy. If we can win 5 out of 10 I'd be happy.

Mrazek looks really good. If Jimmy stinks it up this year, Mrazek all the way next season.

Don't mean to be a Debbie downer here but this injury will probably bother him all season. I had a cousin that had a separated shoulder from playing football and it took a while again for him to feel 100%. Now obviously the Red Wings have top notch doctors and better resources but it probably won't make that much of a difference. I don't see Datsyuk being out only 4 weeks. He'll probably be out longer and will probably be bothered by it the whole season. Face it, he's getting old. Injuries have plagued players that are younger than Datsyuk. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Datsyuk only plays half a season.

I just think we're going to have to come to the conclusion we're going to suck for a while before we get back into contention. The faster we accept that the better off we'll be.
