Honestly, we have four guys who have produced decent points consistently. Alfredsson and Bertuzzi have to be in that group. Not having Weiss really hurts. He was on the verge of putting it home before he got hurt.

I heard today that Tatar will actually be in tonight in Glendenning's place. So, good news for sure.

Do you all think that he will ever play a game with us again? Honestly...I don't. Maybe I'm being a little too negative, but the longer we go without him in the lineup, the less I think we're ever going to see him again. Am I wrong for thinking this?

With how dreadful we are in OT, any change to the system is detrimental to us.

I look at Helm the same way I look at Abby. Extremely useful when he can play his role. Abby is awful as a top-six forward. Helm cannot be a second-line center. Put these guys in their proper role. I know we don't want to, but we have to split Pav and Hank up until Weiss comes back. That second line may create a few chances but they won't finish. If Alfie isn't putting it in the net on that line, no one will be able to.

Helm is a third-line center. Fits the role much better than Andersson. Can't play Smith and Quincey together. They simply make too any mistakes and need to be paired with someone who can make up for those. Sadly, we only have two defenseman who can do so (Ericsson and DeKeyser), and Ericsson needs to be with Kronwall to make sure he doesn't screw up. Then there's Kindl, whose performance night in and night out is impossible to predict. I would play Smith with DeKeyser and bury Quincey with Kindl on the third pairing. Severely decrease the third pairing's minutes, pray DeKeyser can cover up for at least some of Smith's constant blunders and hope Kronwall returns to form. Bottom line, we have an extremely weak bottom-three defenders, probably one of the worst in hockey with Kindl, Smith and Quincey.

He's been better than everyone not named Datsyuk, Zetterberg or Alfredsson on this team. And I'll counter this point with another: we honestly can't name ANYONE who could warrant a scratch besides Tatar?

I think we can all bet our life savings on that not happening.

This entire post exactly. They both have every right to with how horribly Holland has mismanaged them thus far. Samuelsson and Cleary should've been waived, not Tootoo and Eaves.

Unfortunately...that's exactly how it's been. I'm surprised both Nyquist and Tatar haven't asked for a trade.
