A salary cap league doesn't leave room for guts who can't play a regular shift, especially ones who have trouble staying in the lineup in college.

Jeff Blashill = Dave Lewis 2.0 / Coaching Change

So they can start learning another new system and take time to figure that one out? Brilliant. -
Tatar has been crap despite his points. So has Nyquist

That's not what was said though.

Is Dylan Larkin a lock to stay in the NHL beyond 9-games?

He's been the second best forward so far, he should stay -
AA will not come up to play a 4th line PK role.

Based on Blashill, it sounds like Jurco isn't working hard enough in practice. If it's a back issue, he needs to get it taken care of. If it's attitude, he needs to remove his head from his butt and do what he's told.
-
Sheahan needs to figure out he's not smaller than Hudler before he could play that role. A cotton ball is harder than him.

Should I let Lefty and Stumpy down the road teach me how to juggle chainsaws?

Hatterkader. Offer him 3 deals, 6x$3.75, 5x$4, 4x$4.5. Too much money for too long and it will bite us later

Hopefully the rest of the team gets going, they can't win forever with 3 players driving the offense.

Interesting Article about NHL Veterans Not finding jobs

Anyone with any sense at all saw this coming a mile away. It's the same in the NFL, stars get paid and you fill out the roster with cheap players as best you can. -
If he hadn't been trades he'd be scoring his goals in Sweden instead. Not any kind of loss
-
What player would Janmark replace this year? Nobody. So he'd go back to Sweden. Who would he replace next year? Mantha? AA? Bertuzzi? Nope. Back to Sweden, probably for good. He wasn't a top prospect. He was a middling prospect and made a team with a weaker forward group than the Wings. He had virtullay no chance of ever being a Red Wing, better to get a gut like Cole than nothing at all.
-
Jensen is fast. Other than that, he's nothing special. There's a reason the people who see these players every day on and off the ice choose one player over another.

"Models" in Miami are like "actresses" in LA and "country singers" in Nashville

Cody Franson is as reliable as a rusted out 86 Geo Metro -
It will depend on how healthy and productive Hank and Pav are and how big of a step the younger guys take. It could be anywhere to just missing the playoffs to the 1 or 2 seed.
-
The same people drooling over him will be ready to run him out of town when he has a bad stretch after a bad injury
-
$5 says that most of the same people insisting that Mrazek is better will be complaining about him not being a "real" #1 in 2 years or less. Potential just means a guy might be really good. It's meaningless until it's reached, and Mrazek still has a lot to prove.
-
Howard was an All Star before he got hurt. Mrazek wasn't quite as dominant as some people like to say. Lots of goalies look great for a short time, or even one full season, then flame out. That's why he will not be traded.
-
Like I said before, as long as it's $950k and he's in GR or if Callahan Ferraro and Andersson all play their way off the roster, I don't care.
