Wendal, Warren, whatever.

Wasn't it Wendal Young that the Wings signed out of Pitt for $1 mil when nobody made that much, them he did nothing?

Name recognition. If you name 3 beers off the top of your head, 2 will prow be Bud, Miller, Corono, Dos Equis, Labbatt, Molson, or the light version of those because you see them everywhere.

Was this written by a Colorado fam who didn't know hockey existed before they moved from Quebec?

Abdelkader entering contract year, possible $4M extension?
DickieDunn replied to Vladinator16's topic in General
If Andelkader is on a 20 goal 40 point pave again, he deserves $4 mil. -
No, just strippers
-
Ward once said that he thought his name was F--kward for awhile because Bowman always said things like F Ward, are you stupid?

What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, except VD. You bring that home.

Fetisov said Russian players shouldn't have the option to play in the NHL until they are 28. That's not about contracts, it's about restricting their ability to choose where they play. At the same time, KHL clubs would be happy to sign someone from another country before they are 28.
-
But if the NHL won't sign guys who do that then it's a non issue. The KHL wants to keep all Russians from the NHL until they're 28, but will sign a guy from the NHL on a RFA deal. It's BS
-
So will the KHL clubs not sign RFA players out of the NHL? If they came to an agreement that contracts would be honored then the loophole is closed.

The fact that it's on that site tells you most of what you need to know. -

Tatar is more dynamic Nyquist is steadier. Neither is better
-
Hudler isn't as big as he's listed. My brother used to go to Griffins practices a lot and he said Hudler might be 5-6

Mrazek and Howard are going to fight for the top spot. Howard has a track record of being at the very least a good starter, Mrazek has a lot of potential. Howard also has a history of bad stretches and isn't an elite level goalie, and Mrazek was inconsistent last year and there have been a lot more young goalies who were flashes int he pan than developed into star goalies. There are pros and cons for both.

Who is the better player Zetterberg or Toews. Prime vs. Present
DickieDunn replied to kickazz's topic in General
Toews is better now, it's not really close. Zetterberg's body is just too broken down. Zetterberg was far superior in his prime though. -
Tatar is similar to Hudler, but a bit bigger and quite a bit faster. Hudler puts up more points now, but a lot of that is a reflection of his roles with the Flames.
-
That is exactly what he's saying. He wants to block them from playing in North America until they are 28, either by not giving them an option through 10 year contracts signed at 18 or just plain making it illegal to go. As far as the RFA rules go, I'm pretty sure they closed up that 2 week notice loophole, and the NHL will start honoring any version of their RFA rules when they honor the NHL's and stop trying to poach players.

McCarty was with Yzerman, Lapointe with Larionov in 97. Lines were similar in 98 I think, always a grinder with stars. Gilchrist played more than Brown in 98 though.

Ferraro does everything Andersson does and skates better. Callahan does things Andersson doesn't. Keep them waive the marshmallow
-
Datsyuk and Franzem will both likely be out. There is room.
-
Blashill likes him and Andersson is a dime a dozen player. I think the two younger guys will be the reserves
