Only because McGrattan beat it out of him. Unfortunately he didn't beat the laziness our, so pass unless it's for league minimum.

If they are lost on waivers who cares. Dime a dozen players easily replaced. -

Depth signing for the Griffs -
There's a difference between trading him for a good player and "he sucks get rid of him."
-
Anyone who wants to just get rid of him now.
-
I've never thought that he'd be more than a 3rd line PP specialist, but the swings players take on here is beyond ridiculous. They're the best ever, untouchable, gotta get them to the NHL right now until they're in the NHL, then their flaws are seen and they suck and will always suck. I'd move Pulkkinen in a package for an upgrade somewhere, but just dumping him for no real reason like some people want is foolish.
-
High cap hit, declining, and the Hawks are looking for actual decent players in return instead of a salary dump. Pass.

Every team has guys of the same caliber as Ferraro, Andersson, and Ferraro. They're not worth that much and are easily replaced if they do get claimed which isn't even close to 99% sure. People see a coach say good things about a guy like them, Lashoff, Cleary, etc. and think "the coach loves that guy," when really the guy is just a serviceable player and coaches generally say good things about their players.

This kid in the AHL is awesome look at his numbers there oh wait he played a few games in the NHL and didn't dominate he sucks dump him right now

Until we see what Holland can do to move a defenseman or two out, it's impossible to say what the roster will be like. Marchenko proved he can play in the NHL, Ouellet showed a lot of promise too and should be ok as an NHL player this coming season. I'm not sure I'd be thrilled with seeing Quincey and Smith moved without bringing in an upgrade on D and going with both kids though. That leaves them one big injury away from having Marchenko or Ouellet as a top 4 D for several weeks. I don't know if either of them will ever be that good, much less their first full NHL season. As fro his comments on Kindl and Smith, I don't read too much into what coaches and GMs say publicly. They generally aren't going to say too many bad things and throw their guys under the bus.

Voynov pleads "No Contest" to Domestic Violence Charge
DickieDunn replied to e_prime's topic in General
They threatened her with contempt because she refused to follow the judge's orders and wouldn't cooperate with the investigation. She's either legitimately afraid that Voynov would get to her even if she left him and took off, or she's just a gold digger who will put up with it as long as it means she has plenty of money and nice things. -
Signed Wings sign Brad Richards 1 yr, $3 million

I have a feeling Sheahan is going to pass up Richards as the 2nd center sooner rather than later. -
Signed Wings sign Brad Richards 1 yr, $3 million

Old guy coming off a season where he couldn't hitb40 points plaing with guys like Hossa and Kane on his wing. Useless. -
he forgot to mention that they were all one year deals, mostly for no money. A team needing to get to the floor might toss money at him hoping he plays well and they can trade him at the deadline, but no GM in his right mind would give him more than a year at any kind of salary.

Holland doesn't expect to be busy this offseason
DickieDunn replied to Hockeytown0001's topic in General
Yes. So could Ouellet and Marchenko if need be. Pulkkinen and Jurco cannot. -

Didn't they tear down Yankee Stadium immediately after the last season they used it? -
Still no.
-
I hope to see him and Pulk on the 3rd line with a decent center
-
With his injury history he probably shouldn't get more than 3 or 4 years, but someone will give him 6 or 7
-
They didn't get traded for nothing. They got traded for higher first round picks than Detroit has as well as packages that are different than anything Detroit could offer, and were traded to Western conference teams instead of a team that the Bruins have to play a lot. ROR is incredibly over rated. He's a second line center who wants $8 million a season.
-
No, The Avs have been wanting to pay ROR like a second line center, which he is, and ROR thinks he's as good as Toews and Stamkos.
-
Go big or go home. If they can't get a high end player somehow, let the younger guys fill bigger roles instead of signing some average player like Soderberg or any defenseman on the free agent market.

Looking ahead to expansion draft ... If Vegas comes to the nhl etc
DickieDunn replied to nyqvististhefuture's topic in General
So you're protecting guys the Wings haven't even gotten yet? -
Another team cannot sign a player for 8 years, that's only if they sign with their original team. Also, the Wings would have to go to over $9 mil a year to be able to have the required picks
-
Considering I'm saying he's going to get in the $5.75-$6 mil range I'd have to be pretty #$%ing stupid to take that bet. And he's not worth that much.
