Go back through the Voynov stuff. A couple people insisted that because his wife said she fell, she must have just fallen, and he's getting railroaded.

Washington doesn't need to trade Green, and unless they drop out of the playoffs by the trade deadline I think they're going to keep him unless they're bringing in guys who can help them this year and down the road.

The biggest problem I have with potentially getting Yandle is he shoots left. If they make a trade for defense or needs to be a RH one that can play the PP. Of trade Dekeyser or Smith as part of the package to bring that as long as it was a guy in his prime.

I don't want a goon but guys like Abdelkader should be fighting. I think the no fighting thing is coming from Babcock though. They've had guys who fought in the past but don't now.

Yandle is not better than Kronwall. He puts up a few more points but Kronwall's defense is better by quite a bit.

WTF are you talking about? Filppula was consistently given a place on the second line, even when he played like crap. He was also offered 5 years $25 mil from the Wings and chose to sign in TB instead according to all the reports I read. Brunner was given a chance to play in the top 6 from day 1 of camp. He ended up being moved to a line with the 2 rookies after not performing in all the areas of the rink like Babcock expects his top forwards to do. I never read one word about Dekeyser demanding a spot on the Wings roster.

There's plenty of doubt. Sometimes a player has a good start of a career then falls off the map. Sometimes a good young player gets his confidence crushed and never recovers. Sometimes when a payer missed 20% of his games for 3 straight years it signifies that he will continue to be hurt frequently and that the constant injuries wear him down so he never reaches his potential. All of those possibilities apply to Myers.

That's the way the #7 should be used when there's am NHL ready prospect in GR.

I would trade anyone doe the right deal. A risk isn't the right deal though, and Myers is a risk. He could turn into a stud after a trade like Chara and Pronged, or he could continue to play like a deer caught in the headlights and miss 20% of each season, or he could just settle into being a decent second pair D.

There is no way the new team is going to be ready to draft next summer. They are just starting to see of it's feasible, I'm not sure I'd they even have an arena built, much less a team name season ticket base, sales reps, GM, or anything else a team needs.

But the GM doesn't fire himself so the coach is the first fall guy. Unless you're the Lions then the coaches are the first 5 fall guys.

Coach is always the first one to get dumped. It's the first law of coaching a team not committed to winning. I bet he wants to go to Toronto. Everyone wants to go to Toronto.
