It sounds like he does it in every city he goes to and won't leave her alone. This isn't a once in awhile thing. Maybe there's a good reason nobody wanted him, he sounds like kind of a ******.

You'd think that being with a porn star would be like throwing a hot dog down a hallway, especially one who's been around ad long as Lisa Ann.

Weiss sent down to GR- conditioning assignment

If he retires it comes off the books, but I don't see him walking away from that much money. -

If you keep that much what's the point of trading him? -

I think a player has to sit so long before they can get a conditioning assignment. As far as his conditioning goes, there's a big difference between practicing and game shape. -
Babcock "I don't think it will be my final year here"
DickieDunn replied to trule23's topic in General
Is Babcock negotiating with Holland, Devellano, or ownership? Also there's a possibility that they just flat out don't want him for 5 years. -
Those were different systems when they had 2 point men. In the current set up they'd likely be on the half boards or the middle of the diamond.
-
It wold make a lot more sense to use 2 D in the diamond with Smith in the middle spot than to use an entirely different strategy between the two. The 1-3-1 can be used with either 4 forwards and 1 D or 3 and 2, with the second D in the middle of the 3. F F D D F The issue with that is that the second D playing down farther has to have a good shot, and I'm not sure Smith's is good enough. Either way, the high D has to be good enough defensively to be the last guy back, and Smith is definitely not that right now.
-
Didn't say use different strategies? Really?
-
Staal isn't a top center either and makes too much for too long for what he is.
-
Unless Detroit trades so many good players they have no hope for several years they have no legit shot at #1 anyway.
-
They could use 2 D. Babcock prefers 4 forwards. Using another d in the 1-3-1 isn't what you suggested though, you want two different set ups. I said as long as they had 1 d in a 1-3-1 Smith wasn't going to be there regularly.
-
There is a lot more to it than you seem to think. Teams use a system, not multiple ones.
-
They still need to practice it. If they have to run 2 separate systems, they'll need to practice them both. Even with the players moving, they know WHERE to move because they practice the system. This isn't rec league where you just go out and do whatever. Dekeyser is on the point because he's the only d-man out there and the difference between him and Smith defensively is greater than the difference between them offensively. Dekeyser had 18 points in 65 game at even strength last year, which is really pretty good for a second pairing D-man. He's capable back there, but he needs help from the forwards who have done jack squat so far this year. As far as the new system goes, it hasn't been working but A) it's new and you need to give things time, and B) teams go through slumps where a PP or PK doesn't work, and they have stretches where it's lights out. At the end of the year things average out. C) they haven't had both Datsyuk and Franzen for the PP, one has been hurt. That doesn't help things on the PP.
-
Having different strategies for each unit would double the practice time they needed and make it harder for someone to switch units. Terrible idea. And Dekeyser isn't that bad, it's not like they have Bob Rouse out there on the PP.
-
Wings aren't going to hand the net to Mrazek . and Smith is the only solid offensive d-man? Kronwall would like to say something about that.
-
If he didn't have that contract I'd be more interested. I don't care if he has a bunch of points, I don't see him that good in his own end, and I don't like d who are weak defensively. I also don't like that he's missed so much time the last 3 years. He's just too much of a gamble to trade a lot for him with all the young D the Wings have already.
-
Smith is also improving, I'm not sure Myers is.
-
Right now I think Myers is a bit better than Smith and Dekeyser. I think that's going to change fairly soon though. Given Myers' contract, I don't want him unless they're willing to take a ridiculously craptacular package in return, which they won't.

Babcock "I don't think it will be my final year here"
DickieDunn replied to trule23's topic in General
I don't want him signed for 5 years. He's a great coach, but even Bowman didn't stay as long as Babcock has been here. -
They have 3 2nd pair guys now, they need a top pair d or nothing.

slava voynov suspended after domestic violence arrest
DickieDunn replied to jimmyemeryhunter's topic in General
Voynov said she fell and the police misunderstood what she told them because she doesn't speak English very well. Never heard that before. -
A lot of Kronwallings would be suspensions now. He's had to tone it down. The much maligned d is definitely not an issue though.
